Job Overview :

We are seeking an experienced Head of Data Science to lead our data-driven decision-making and innovation initiatives. This role requires a highly skilled leader who can drive advanced analytics, AI/ML models, and data-driven strategies to optimize business performance. The ideal candidate should have 10+ years of experience in data science, strong leadership capabilities, and a proven track record in building and deploying AI/ML models at scale.

As the Head of Data Science, you will play a crucial role in shaping our data strategy, mentoring a high-performing team, and leveraging cutting-edge technologies to drive business impact.

Key Responsibilities :

- Define and execute the data science strategy to support business growth and innovation.

- Lead and manage a team of data scientists, machine learning engineers, and analysts to develop scalable AI/ML models.

- Design and implement predictive modeling, NLP, deep learning, and AI-driven automation for various business applications.

- Oversee end-to-end model development, from data acquisition to deployment in production.

- Work closely with stakeholders across engineering, product, and business teams to translate complex data

insights into actionable business decisions.

- Optimize big data processing pipelines and cloud-based data infrastructure for real-time analytics.

- Stay ahead of industry trends, emerging AI technologies, and best practices in data science.

- Ensure compliance with data privacy, security, and governance regulations.

Required Skills & Qualifications :

- 10+ years of experience in data science, AI/ML, or quantitative analytics with at least 3+ years in a leadership role.

- Proficiency in Python, R, SQL, and distributed computing frameworks (Spark, Hadoop, Dask).

- Hands-on experience with deep learning (TensorFlow, PyTorch), NLP, computer vision, and reinforcement learning.

- Strong understanding of MLOps, model deployment (Docker, Kubernetes), and cloud platforms (Google Cloud, AWS, Azure).

- Ability to align data science initiatives with business goals and KPIs.

- Experience in data-driven decision-making across finance, marketing, operations, or product management.

- Proven track record of leading and scaling data science teams.

- Strong ability to present complex findings to senior executives and stakeholders.

- Master's/PhD in Computer Science, Data Science, AI, Mathematics, or a related field.

- Experience in financial markets, algorithmic trading, or fintech is a plus.
