We are looking for an experienced WCS Developer with strong expertise in IBM WebSphere Commerce Suite (WCS) to design, develop, and maintain enterprise-scale eCommerce solutions. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience delivering high-performing, scalable, and secure commerce applications and will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams across engineering, product, and operations.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design, develop, enhance, and maintain WCS-based eCommerce applications.

- Customize and extend WCS components including Commerce Server, Management Center, and Storefront.

- Implement new features, business workflows, and integrations with third-party systems such as payment gateways, CRM, ERP, and OMS.

- Optimize application performance, troubleshoot production issues, and ensure platform stability.

- Collaborate with DevOps teams for CI/CD pipelines, deployments, and environment configurations.

- Work closely with UI/UX, QA, backend, and business teams to deliver high-quality solutions.

- Participate in code reviews, technical design discussions, and architecture planning.

- Ensure adherence to coding standards, security guidelines, and best practices.

Technical Skills Required :

- Strong hands-on experience with IBM WebSphere Commerce (WCS) v7 / v8 / v9.

- Proficiency in Java, J2EE, JSP, Servlets, Spring Framework, and REST/SOAP APIs.

- In-depth knowledge of WCS subsystems : Catalog, Order, Member, Payment, Promotions.

- Experience in WCS customization, Storefront Development, and Commerce Accelerator.

- Solid understanding of SOLR, search customization, and indexing.

- Experience with DB2 / Oracle / SQL databases.

- Hands-on experience with WebSphere Application Server (WAS) and WebSphere Commerce Developer (WCD).

- Familiarity with microservices architecture, Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure) is a plus.

- Working knowledge of version control tools such as Git, SVN, or Bitbucket.

- Ability to work independently as well as in Agile/Scrum teams.

- High attention to detail with a strong commitment to quality and delivery.

Preferred Qualifications :

- IBM WCS Certification (nice to have).

- Experience with migration projects from WCS to modern commerce platforms such as SAP Commerce, Shopify, Magento, etc.

- Understanding of headless commerce architecture and modern frontend integrations.
