Client : An Indian multinational technology company based in Bengaluru. It provides information technology, consulting and business process services, and is one of India's Big Six IT services companies.

Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities :

- Akamai WAF Implementation : Lead the deployment and configuration of Akamai WAF solutions for external facing web applications.

- Security Analysis : Conduct regular security assessments, vulnerability testing, and risk analysis to ensure the effectiveness of WAF configurations.

- Change Control : Maintain the change control, drive the IT application engagement for Cyber changes & coordinate the successful change delivery.

- Monitoring and Reporting : Continuously monitor WAF performance and security events, generating detailed reports and metrics for stakeholders.

- Incident Response : Collaborate with the security operations team to respond to and mitigate web application security incidents.

- Stakeholder Communication : Work closely with development, operations, and business teams to communicate security requirements and provide guidance on best practices.

- Continuous Improvement : Stay updated with the latest security trends and Akamai product updates to continuously enhance client web application security posture.

- Delivery life cycle : Ensure the time bound delivery success with driving the end to end life cycle of Akamai Web application Firewall deployment on applications.

Qualifications :

- Educational Background : Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.

- Experience : Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in cybersecurity, with a focus on web application security and WAF technologies.

Technical Skills :

1. Proficiency in Akamai WAF configuration and management.

2. Strong understanding of web technologies, including HTTP/HTTPS, HTML, JavaScript, and web application frameworks.

3. Experience with security assessment tools and methodologies.

4. Knowledge of common web application vulnerabilities and OWASP Top 10.

- Certifications : Relevant security certifications such as CISSP, CEH, or Akamai certifications are a plus.

- Soft Skills : Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Additional Requirements :

- Regulatory Compliance : Ensure all WAF implementations comply with relevant regulatory requirements and internal policies.

- Project Management : Experience in managing security projects, including timelines, resources, and deliverables.

- Flexibility : Willingness to adapt to the dynamic nature of cybersecurity threats and organizational needs.
