Job Description :

We are looking for an experienced Techno-Functional Manager / AVP - Temenos Payments Hub (TPH) to lead the implementation, enhancement, integration, and support of our core payments platform.

The ideal candidate will have strong functional expertise in Temenos Payments Hub (TPH), hands-on technical capabilities, and a thorough understanding of payment processing workflows and core banking integrations.

The role requires expertise in designing end-to-end payment flows, developing integration layers using APIs and messaging systems, and ensuring seamless interoperability between Temenos Payments Hub and Temenos T24 (Transact).

The candidate will collaborate with business stakeholders, architects, development teams, and implementation partners to deliver scalable, secure, and efficient payment solutions.

Key Responsibilities :

- Lead the functional design, configuration, implementation, and enhancement of Temenos Payments Hub (TPH).

- Understand and translate business requirements related to domestic and international payments into functional and technical specifications.

- Design and optimize end-to-end payment processing workflows, including payment initiation, validation, routing, processing, settlement, and exception handling.

- Configure payment products, payment schemes, transaction rules, and processing parameters based on business requirements.

- Ensure effective handling of payment investigations, returns, reversals, rejections, and reconciliation processes.

- Work with business teams to identify process gaps and recommend platform enhancements.

- Design and implement integration solutions between Temenos TPH and Temenos T24 (Transact), ensuring seamless data exchange and transaction processing.

- Develop and oversee integrations using REST APIs, SOAP services, message queues (MQ), and other middleware technologies.

- Define integration patterns, interface specifications, data mappings, and error-handling mechanisms.

- Ensure reliable communication between payments applications, core banking systems, external payment networks, and third-party platforms.

- Troubleshoot complex integration issues, transaction failures, performance bottlenecks, and system interoperability challenges.

- Collaborate with architecture and engineering teams to establish scalable, resilient, and secure integration frameworks.

- Demonstrate a strong understanding of payment systems, clearing and settlement processes, and payment lifecycle management.

- Work with relevant payment standards and messaging formats, including ISO 20022, SWIFT MT/MX, and other applicable payment formats.

- Understand domestic and cross-border payment processing, including applicable payment schemes and banking requirements.

- Ensure payment solutions comply with relevant security, audit, regulatory, and operational requirements.

- Support the implementation of payment validations, sanctions-screening integrations, transaction monitoring, and fraud-control interfaces.

- Lead end-to-end implementation, upgrades, migration, and enhancement initiatives for Temenos TPH.

- Own solution design, requirement analysis, technical documentation, development coordination, testing, deployment, and post-production support.

- Coordinate with business analysts, developers, QA teams, infrastructure teams, vendors, and external stakeholders.

- Review functional specifications, technical designs, interface documents, and implementation deliverables.

- Manage project risks, dependencies, timelines, and delivery priorities.

- Drive defect resolution, root-cause analysis, and continuous improvement across the payments platform.

- Lead and mentor techno-functional teams working on Temenos TPH and related banking systems.

- Act as the primary point of contact for complex functional and technical issues.

- Engage with senior business stakeholders to understand payment requirements and align technology solutions with business objectives.

- Facilitate solution-design discussions, technical reviews, and stakeholder workshops.

- Provide technical guidance, establish best practices, and promote knowledge sharing across the team.

- Oversee functional testing, system integration testing (SIT), user acceptance testing (UAT), and regression testing.

- Validate end-to-end payment processing, including transaction routing, posting, settlement, and exception scenarios.

- Support production releases, incident management, and critical issue resolution.

- Monitor system performance, transaction throughput, availability, and integration reliability.

- Identify opportunities to improve processing efficiency, operational stability, and platform scalability.

Required Skills and Qualifications :

- 10 - 18 years of experience in banking technology, payments platforms, or core banking implementations.

- Strong hands-on experience with Temenos Payments Hub (TPH) implementation, configuration, integration, or enhancement.

- Strong techno-functional expertise in payment processing workflows and payment domain operations.

- Experience integrating TPH with Temenos T24 (Transact) or equivalent core banking platforms.

- Strong knowledge of REST APIs, SOAP web services, MQ systems, and enterprise integration patterns.

- Understanding of payment messaging standards such as ISO 20022 and SWIFT MT/MX.

- Experience in payment routing, transaction processing, settlement, reconciliation, exception handling, and payment investigations.

- Ability to translate business requirements into functional specifications and technical solution designs.

- Experience in system integration, end-to-end testing, production support, and implementation delivery.

- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and stakeholder-management skills.

- Experience leading teams and managing delivery in a banking or financial services environment.

Preferred Qualifications :

- Experience with domestic and cross-border payment systems and relevant clearing networks.

- Exposure to payment modernization, platform upgrades, migration, and large-scale banking transformation programs.

- Knowledge of banking security, regulatory controls, transaction monitoring, and sanctions-screening integrations.

- Experience working in Agile delivery environments and collaborating with globally distributed teams
