Virtusa - Java Backend Developer

Job Description :

Requirements :

- Proficiency in backend programming languages such as Java

- Hands-on experience with frameworks like Spring Boot, DropWizard.

- Strong understanding of database technologies (SQL: MySQL/PostgreSQL; NoSQL: MongoDB, Redis).

- Experience with building RESTful APIs and GraphQL.

- Familiarity with cloud platforms ( GCP) and microservices architecture.

- Knowledge of containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes).

- Expertise in CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, or GitHub Actions.

- Able to write HLDs and LLDs

- Security best practices (e.g., OWASP standards).

Key Responsibilities :

- Design, develop, and maintain high-performance, scalable backend applications using Java.

- Build and maintain RESTful APIs and GraphQL services.

- Develop microservices-based architectures using Spring Boot / Dropwizard.

- Design and implement robust High-Level Design (HLD) and Low-Level Design (LLD) documents.

- Work with relational databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL) and NoSQL databases (MongoDB, Redis).

- Deploy and manage applications on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
