Virtusa - Flutter Lead Mobile Developer - Dart Programming

About the Role :

We are looking for an experienced Flutter Lead Mobile Developer with strong expertise in Flutter application development, mobile architecture, and digital banking solutions. The ideal candidate will have significant experience in the Banking/Financial Services domain, with hands-on involvement in designing, developing, and delivering enterprise-grade mobile applications and at least one successful digital banking, corporate finance, treasury, or banking-integrated solution through go-live.

Key Responsibilities :

- Lead the design, development, and delivery of enterprise-grade mobile applications using Flutter and Dart.

- Translate business and UI/UX requirements into scalable mobile application architectures and technical solutions.

- Design and implement robust mobile application architectures using appropriate architectural and design patterns.

- Develop reusable, maintainable, and high-performance Flutter applications for enterprise and banking use cases.

- Integrate mobile applications with backend services using RESTful APIs, GraphQL, and WebSockets.

- Implement performance optimization techniques including caching, lazy loading, preloading, and efficient state/data management.

- Work closely with UI/UX teams to convert design prototypes into responsive and production-ready mobile experiences.

- Establish coding standards, development practices, code reviews, and technical guidelines for Flutter development.

- Troubleshoot and resolve complex application, integration, performance, and production issues.

- Collaborate with backend developers, QA engineers, business analysts, product owners, and other stakeholders throughout the development lifecycle.

- Provide technical leadership and mentoring to mobile development teams.

- Participate in technical design discussions, estimation, sprint planning, reviews, and other Agile delivery activities.

- Ensure applications meet required standards for security, reliability, scalability, performance, and maintainability.

- Support production releases, application monitoring, issue resolution, and continuous enhancement of mobile platforms.

Required Skills & Experience :

- 10 - 18 years of overall experience in software/application development, with strong experience in mobile application development.

- 5+ years of hands-on experience as a Flutter Lead / Senior Flutter Developer in enterprise IT projects.

- 5+ years of experience in Banking, Financial Services, Corporate Finance, Treasury, or related domains.

- Strong hands-on expertise in Dart, Flutter SDK, Flutter Widgets, and Flutter CLI.

- Experience with Flutter Test, Mockito, Flutter DevTools, Flutter Inspector, and Dart DevTools.

- Strong understanding of mobile application architecture, design patterns, clean and maintainable code, and reusable component development.

- Strong experience with RESTful APIs, GraphQL, and WebSockets.

- Good understanding of mobile application performance optimization, including caching, lazy loading, and preloading.

- Ability to work with UI/UX design prototypes and design tools and translate them into production applications.

- Experience delivering applications involving banking system integrations and enterprise financial platforms.

- Proven experience working on large-scale projects with multiple stakeholders and complex business requirements.

- Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum development methodologies.

- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Domain & Delivery Requirement :

- Must have experience working on Digital Banking, Corporate Banking, Corporate Finance, Treasury Management, CRM for financial services, or banking-integrated digital platforms.

- Must have successfully completed and taken to go-live at least one enterprise digital banking or banking-integrated solution in a Mobile Developer/Flutter Lead capacity.

- Strong understanding of banking workflows and digital financial services is required.
