Virtusa - Atlassian Administrator - Jira Datacenter

Role Overview :

We are looking for an experienced Atlassian Administrator with strong hands-on expertise in Jira Data Center, Jira Service Management (JSM), and Confluence Data Center. The role will be responsible for platform administration, configuration, upgrades, integrations, performance monitoring, automation, and overall stability of the Atlassian environment.

Key Responsibilities :

- Administer, configure, and maintain Jira Software Data Center, Jira Service Management (JSM), and Confluence Data Center environments.

- Configure and manage Jira workflows, workflow schemes, permission schemes, automation, dashboards, reports, and Agile boards.

- Administer JSM capabilities including portals, request types, SLAs, queues, Assets, and knowledge base integrations.

- Perform installation, upgrades, patching, configuration changes, and platform maintenance with minimal service disruption.

- Develop and maintain Jira customizations using ScriptRunner, Groovy, Behaviours, REST endpoints, listeners, scheduled jobs, and scripted fields.

- Administer Confluence Data Center, including spaces, permissions, templates, macros, and content governance.

- Manage and support Atlassian Marketplace applications such as ScriptRunner, Tempo, Xray, JMWE, Structure, Rich Filters, and Timesheets.

- Configure and maintain integrations with LDAP, Active Directory, Crowd, SAML, OAuth, and SSO.

- Monitor platform health and performance, including JVM utilization, memory consumption, indexing, database connectivity, application logs, and system performance.

- Perform troubleshooting and root-cause analysis for Jira, JSM, Confluence, integration, and platform issues.

- Manage underlying infrastructure components including Linux, Tomcat, reverse proxies, SSL certificates, and load balancers.

- Perform JVM tuning and application performance optimization to maintain platform stability and availability.

- Maintain technical documentation, administration procedures, configuration standards, and operational runbooks.

- Work with internal teams and stakeholders to understand requirements and implement scalable Atlassian solutions.

- Ensure platform configurations follow appropriate security, access control, governance, and operational standards.

Requirements :

- 7 - 10 years of experience in Atlassian administration, platform engineering, or related roles.

- Strong hands-on experience administering Jira Software Data Center, Jira Service Management, and Confluence Data Center.

- Strong knowledge of Jira workflows, permissions, schemes, automation, dashboards, reports, and Agile board configuration.

- Hands-on experience with JSM portals, request types, SLAs, queues, Assets, and knowledge base integrations.

- Strong experience with ScriptRunner and Groovy, including Behaviours, listeners, scripted fields, REST endpoints, and scheduled jobs.

- Experience administering and maintaining Confluence Data Center.

- Experience managing Atlassian Marketplace applications such as ScriptRunner, Tempo, Xray, JMWE, Structure, Rich Filters, and Timesheets.

- Strong understanding of LDAP, Active Directory, Crowd, SAML, OAuth, and SSO integrations.

- Good experience with Linux administration, Tomcat, JVM tuning, application logs, reverse proxies, SSL, and load balancers.

- Experience with Jira/Confluence performance monitoring, indexing, database connectivity, and troubleshooting.

- Strong understanding of Data Center architecture, high availability, scalability, and platform maintenance.

- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
