Job Description

Job Summary :

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Data Engineer to lead the design and implementation of large-scale data pipelines and analytics platforms supporting telecom operations. This role will focus on building reliable, high-performance data models and business intelligence solutions using SQL, Hevo, DBT, Tableau, and Amazon QuickSight to enable insights across network performance, customer experience, billing, and revenue assurance.

Key Responsibilities :

- Architect, build, and maintain enterprise-scale data pipelines using Hevo and cloud data platforms

- Lead SQL-based data transformation and optimization for high-volume telecom datasets (network KPIs, usage, billing)

- Design and enforce data modeling standards using DBT, including fact/dimension models and telecom KPIs

- Develop executive-level dashboards and operational reports in Tableau and Amazon QuickSight

- Partner with network, billing, product, and business intelligence teams to translate telecom requirements into analytics solutions

- Ensure data accuracy, latency, and availability for near-real-time and batch reporting use cases

- Establish and monitor data quality checks, SLAs, and alerting mechanisms

- Review and mentor junior data engineers and analytics engineers

- Drive best practices for performance tuning, cost optimization, and scalability

- Own documentation, lineage, and governance for critical telecom data assets

Required Qualifications :

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field

- 6+ years of experience in data engineering or analytics engineering

- Advanced SQL expertise with large-scale, high-velocity datasets

- Hands-on experience with Hevo or comparable ELT platforms

- Strong experience using DBT for production-grade data modeling

- Proven experience building dashboards in Tableau and Amazon QuickSight

- Deep understanding of data warehousing and data models

- Experience working with cloud-based data platforms, preferably AWS

- Knowledge of Telecom domain is a bonus

Preferred Qualifications :

- Experience with AWS services

- Familiarity with streaming or near-real-time data processing

- Strong understanding of data governance, security, and compliance in regulated environments

- Experience with Python for automation and data validation

- Leadership experience in cross-functional teams
