Veltris - Data Scientist - Predictive Modeling

Role : Data Scientist

Work Mode : Hybrid (One week work from office in a month)

Location : Bangalore/Chennai

Notice Period - Immediate or 15 days maximum

Key Responsibilities :

- Design and develop predictive and prescriptive models using real-time and simulation-based data.

- Apply advanced techniques in time-series analysis, Bayesian inference, and probabilistic forecasting.

- Build and train deep learning models using PyTorch or TensorFlow for dynamic and high-dimensional datasets.

- Leverage reinforcement learning (RL) concepts, particularly in multi-agent environments, to model complex decision-making problems.

- Collaborate with engineering and product teams to integrate models into production environments.

- Conduct trajectory prediction, anomaly detection, or behavior modeling in contexts such as vehicle movement or intelligent systems.

- Utilize domain-specific knowledge such as vehicle kinematics and intelligent transportation systems to inform model design.

Skills and Experiences required :

- 3+ years of experience in applied data science, preferably in real-time or simulation-based environments.

- Strong proficiency in Python, NumPy, Pandas, and deep learning frameworks like PyTorch or TensorFlow.

- Experience with time-series analysis, Bayesian models, or probabilistic forecasting.

- Understanding of reinforcement learning, especially multi-agent settings.

- Knowledge of vehicle kinematics, trajectory forecasting, or intelligent transportation systems.
