Roles & Responsibilities :

- Design complex digital products and systems, with a strong focus on System Design and Interaction Design.

- Look at the whole system, connect the dots, and understand how different parts of the product work together.

- Understand user problems and translate them into thoughtful design solutions.

- Work on design systems at scale.

- Generate solutions both with and without AI tools.

- Use AI tools as a sparring partner and critically evaluate/critique their output.

- Work on products through to launch/shipping.

- Clearly articulate design decisions, including individual contribution, discarded ideas, and original point of view.

- Work on complex product problems where systems thinking and analytical thinking are important.

- Collaborate with the team on building products for a larger digital ecosystem.

- Participate in face-to-face/whiteboarding discussions as part of the interview process. For outstation candidates, travel will be covered.

Ideal Candidate :

1. Strong UX Designer Profile :

- Outstanding systems thinking and interaction design skills.

2. Mandatory Experience 1 :

- Must have 4+ years of UX experience (with a Bachelor's in Design, 2022 pass-out) or 2+ years (with a Master's in Design, 2024 pass-out) at a product company, with strong systems thinking and interaction design skills.

3. Mandatory Experience 2 :

- Must have demonstrable interest and hands-on work in design systems at scale.

4. Mandatory Experience 3 :

- Must have shipped/launched work, clearly outlining their contribution, discarded ideas, and original point of view.

5. Mandatory Experience 4 :

- Must have worked on a complex set of products involving systems thinking, having shipped a couple of them.

6. Mandatory Skill 1 :

- Must be able to use AI tools as a sparring partner and critique their output.

7. Mandatory Skill 2 :

- Must have strong analytical skills and be able to work with data, understanding users' problems and critiquing design output.

8. Mandatory Company :

- Must come from a product company only (any product company - B2B SaaS or otherwise).

9. Mandatory Education :

- Must have a design degree from a Tier-1 college (preferably NID Bangalore / Ahmedabad / Gandhinagar, IIT Bombay (IDC), IIT Kanpur, IIT Delhi, or CKP Bangalore).

10. Mandatory Education 3 :

- Must have an 11th/12th science background.

11. Mandatory Portfolio :

- Must have a UX portfolio (with case studies) that demonstrates end-to-end product thinking - problem definition, user research, systems thinking, wireframing.

12. Mandatory Exclusion :

- Candidates who have primarily focused on brand identity design, logo design, or packaging design will NOT be considered.

13. Preferred Signals :

- Strong impact and complexity of work; experience at big product companies or high-growth startups.
