Unify Technologies - Lead Android Developer - Kotlin Multiplatform

Responsibilities :

- Architecture, design, and development of Android-based smart glass and companion mobile applications.

- Work with smart glass Android ARDKs to develop on-glass functionality and connectivity to the companion mobile app.

- Develop shared business logic for use across Android and iOS platforms using Kotlin Multiplatform (KMP).

- Use Jetpack Compose for modern Android UI development.

- Develop functionality to deliver hands-free and voice-driven interaction capability as per client requirements.

- Develop integrations with on-device AI/ML and navigation SDKs as per requirements.

- Write efficient, low-latency code for asynchronous operations as required.

- Ensure performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications through rigorous testing.

- Guide, review and mentor junior and mid-level Android developers on the team.

Requirements :

- Key Skills: Android Developers, Kotlin, Smart Glasses/Kotlin Multiplatform/KMP/KMM.

- Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field.

- Minimum 7 years of experience in Android development, with at least 2 years in a lead role.

- Strong proficiency in Kotlin and Java, with deep knowledge of the Android SDK and platform.

- Hands-on experience with Jetpack Compose for declarative UI development.

- Demonstrated experience developing applications for Android-based smart glass devices.

- Understanding of Kotlin Multiplatform (KMP) for cross-platform shared logic development.

- Excellent technical problem-solving skills and collaborative teamwork capabilities.

- Experience using AI coding assistants to develop and deliver high-quality code.

- Experience working directly with overseas (preferably US-based) client teams.

- Experience with Jira or similar agile project management tools.

- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with an ability to take initiative and lead.
