Role Overview :
Ultraviolette Automotive is looking for a Technical Program Manager with a strong background in battery engineering to drive the end-to-end program lifecycle for battery systems. This role is critical to ensuring that battery development programs spanning cell selection, battery pack design, BMS integration, and validation are delivered on schedule, within scope, and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities :
- Own program planning, scheduling, and execution for battery engineering programs including cell qualification, pack design, BMS development, and thermal management.
- Define and manage detailed program plans, working closely with battery engineers, firmware teams, and supply chain partners.
- Track key milestones, manage dependencies, identify risks early, and drive mitigation actions to closure.
- Facilitate cross-functional reviews including design reviews, DVT milestone reviews, DFMEA sessions, and supplier quality gates.
- Coordinate with cell/module suppliers and battery pack vendors to align on engineering timelines and prototype availability.
- Drive resolution of technical issues impacting program timelines by coordinating across battery, electrical, and mechanical engineering teams.
- Prepare and present program status reports, risk summaries, and executive updates.
- Maintain program documentation including BOM milestones, test plan tracking, and change management logs.
- Support development and continuous improvement of battery program management processes and templates.
Qualifications & Experience :
- 6+ years of experience in program/project management in EV, automotive, energy storage, or related industries.
- Technical background in battery systems, electrochemistry, power electronics, or BMS strongly preferred.
- Hands-on experience managing hardware development programs with complex supplier and validation dependencies.
- Familiarity with battery safety standards (AIS 156, IEC 62133, UN 38.3) and automotive development processes (APQP, DVP).
- Strong skills in project planning tools (MS Project, JIRA, or equivalent) and data analysis.
- Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to present clearly to leadership.
- B.E./B.Tech in Electrical, Electronics, or Mechanical Engineering required; advanced degree is a plus.
