Key Responsibilities :
- Design Strategy & Vision : Define and drive the Bank-wide UI/UX vision for customer-facing channels (Mobile, Internet, Assisted, and Omnichannel platforms).
- Customer Journey Design : Map, optimize, and redesign end-to-end customer journeys for retail banking to improve onboarding, servicing, transaction flows, and self-service.
- Team Building & Mentorship : Recruit, mentor, and coach an internal team of UI/UX designers and researchers, establishing a culture of continuous learning.
- Design Systems & Governance : Build, maintain, and govern the Banks enterprise design system to ensure pixel-perfect visual and interaction consistency across all touchpoints.
- User Research & Insights : Lead qualitative/quantitative user research, conduct usability testing, and translate user feedback and behavioral metrics into actionable design decisions.
- Accessibility & Inclusive Design : Ensure all designs comply with global accessibility standards (WCAG) and serve diverse customer segments with varying digital literacy.
- Vendor Management & Transition : Collaborate with external design agencies during the transition phase, ensuring seamless knowledge transfer to the in-house team.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration : Partner closely with Product, Technology, Analytics, and Digital Marketing teams to balance stellar customer experiences with business and tech requirements.
Eligibility Criteria :
- Overall Experience : 8 - 10 years of professional experience in UI/UX Design, Product Design, Customer Experience, or Digital Experience Management.
- Leadership Experience : Minimum 2 years in a leadership/management role leading UI/UX design teams and driving end-to-end design delivery.
- Domain Expertise : Proven track record in retail banking, digital banking, financial services, fintech, or large-scale digital commerce platforms.
- Design Portfolio : An outstanding portfolio demonstrating experience in launching large-scale customer-facing mobile and web applications (concept to launch).
- Mandatory Tools : High proficiency in Figma (mandatory). Experience with Adobe XD, Sketch, Miro, Zeplin, FigJam, or similar is highly preferred.
- Education : Bachelor's or Master's Degree in UI/UX Design, Interaction Design, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Product Design, Computer Science, or Graphic Design. Certifications in Design Thinking are a plus.
