Role Overview :
We are looking for an experienced TWS Consultant with 12+ years of expertise in enterprise workload automation and scheduling. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing workload scheduling solutions using IBM Tivoli Workload Scheduler, ensuring high availability, performance, and scalability across enterprise environments.
- Lead architecture and solution design for complex scheduling and batch processing
environments
- Manage end-to-end job scheduling, batch processing, and dependency management across systems
- Ensure high availability and performance of TWS environments through proactive monitoring and tuning
- Drive automation initiatives to improve operational efficiency and reduce manual intervention
- Collaborate with application, infrastructure, and DevOps teams for seamless integration of scheduling workflows
- Perform root cause analysis and resolve critical production issues within defined SLAs
- Manage upgrades, patching, and migration of TWS environments with minimal downtime
- Define and enforce best practices, standards, and governance for workload scheduling
- Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and guidance to junior team members
- Ensure compliance with organizational security, audit, and regulatory requirements
- Create and maintain documentation for processes, workflows, and system configurations
Required Skillsets :
- Strong hands-on experience with IBM Tivoli Workload Scheduler (TWS) / IBM Workload Automation
- Expertise in job scheduling, calendars, event-driven workloads, and job stream design
- Experience with TWS components such as Master Domain Manager (MDM), Backup MDM,
Dynamic Agents, and Fault-Tolerant Agents
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Shell, Perl, or Python for automation
- Strong knowledge of UNIX/Linux environments and system administration concepts
- Experience with database systems like Oracle, DB2, or SQL Server
- Familiarity with integration of TWS with enterprise applications (SAP, Informatica, etc.)
- Experience with cloud-based or hybrid scheduling environments is a plus
- Understanding of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipeline integration
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
Preferred Qualifications :
- Certification in IBM Workload Automation / Tivoli Workload Scheduler
- Experience in large-scale enterprise environments
- Exposure to ITIL processes and service management frameworks
