JOB DESCRIPTION :
RESPONSIBILITIES :
A. General :
The Architect Global Data Center & Cloud Services is responsible for design, architecture and integration of IT Infrastructure and services this includes but is not limited to : Server hardware, storage hardware, Cloud, server virtualization infrastructure, and related software and compliance solutions.Design and standards decisions are coordinated with Global Architecture team in order to ensure compliance and compatibility with company global infrastructure standards, capacity requirements and alignment with strategic business objectives.
Architect Global Data Center & Cloud Services is also responsible for deployment, high-level administration and L3 support of hardware as well as software systems and services.
DUTIES % WORKING TIME :
- Design and engineering of technology 20%
- Respond to L3 incidents and service requests 20%
- Develop and maintain IT infrastructure services 30% and standards
- Project leadership and execution 30%
The systems supported by the architect are mission critical and have a profound impact upon the daily business functions and operations.
Adherence to documented and established procedures is vital to maintaining system uptime, performance and reducing the problem resolution period.Routine responsibilities and duties involve good use of best practices and procedures to provide stable business IT environment.
Problem resolution techniques are critical as well as the use of analysis and judgment capabilities.
This position will require the employee to carry a mobile phone and be available 24 hours a day 7 days a week to assist and resolve critical operational issues (also out-of-hours, if the situation requires).
B. Specific :
DUTIES STANDARDS :
- Design & Service Ownership for Data Center & Cloud infrastructure.
- Evaluate and design technology and implement new IT services (including changed to existing IT products) following IT roadmaps and business-aligned strategy.
- Architect solution for new technology demand following a building block concept aligned with TOGAF methodology.
JOB DESCRIPTION :
- Develop, own and execute roadmaps for and Data Center & Cloud services.
- Act as Subject Matter Expert for data center & cloud services
- Mentor, coach and develop local and operational IT teams about technology and IT standards.
- Develop, deploy and maintain IT Standard Operating Environment (SOE) consisting from hardware and software products and services.
- Maintain integrity and compliance of IT environment.
- Facilitate migrations, software rollouts and lifecycle replacements.
- Respond to Service Desk activities related to Infrastructure & Operations (including Incidents, Requests, Changes, Problems, etc.).
- Follow and support development of ITIL aligned pest practices and service management processes for Incident Management, Request Fulfilment, Problem Management, Change Management, Asset Management, etc.
- Act as subject matter expert and escalation contact for Data Center & Cloud and End User Compute services.
- Resolve assigned tickets in timely and professional manner.
- Offer technical assistance and guidance to other members of the organization.
- Document all updates, changes and relevant information in corporate IT Service Management tool. Develop and implement policies and procedures.
- Identify, create, publish and communicate standard operating procedures (SOPs) for assigned technology areas.
- Develop, maintain and update documentation of architecture, IT products and services.
- Create and maintain Disaster Recovery plans for services owned and represented by assigned functions / technology domains.
- Cooperate with production teams to ensure secure and sustainable operation.
- Communicate and changes and / or updates of IT environment to management and employees in a timely manner.
- Project and demand management for Infrastructure & Operations.
- Lead, coordinate and execute technology demand and project portfolio for Data Center & Cloud
- Ensure delivery of all assigned initiatives. Manage resources, time, budget, benefit and risk. Address, mitigate and seek approval for any deviations.
- Develop and maintain project plans, project updates and related documentation.
- Communicate updates and report to steering committees in a timely manner.
- Identify, evaluate and request operational and investment budgets for assigned technology areas.
QUALIFICATIONS :
- Education Level : Bachelor degree or BS, Computer Science or related degree; alternatively equivalent working experience may qualify from Premier Institute such as IIT/NITs/BITS
- Education Program : Computer Science or related degree
- Professional Certifications : ITIL Foundation certification
- Experience Requirement : Minimum 10 years in similar function in global, multi-national enterprise
- Language Requirements : English; Spanish or Portuguese are a plus
EXPERIENCE :
- Minimum 13 years working experience in managing a complex and heterogeneous IT architecture of a global multinational.
KNOWLEDGE :
Required :
- Docker and Kubernetes
- Cloud formation and/Terraform
- CI/CD
- VPN setups
- Microsoft certification (MCSE or equivalent), Azure Solutions Architect Expert; other vendor certifications a plus (Nutanix, VMWare, etc.)
- ITIL Foundation certification
- Good knowledge on AWS, Azure, GCP
- Technical expertise in Microsoft Windows Server product portfolio (incl. OS, System Center, IIS, SQL, Exchange, DFS, etc.)
- Working experience with cloud and data center products (incl. Microsoft, Amazon and others)
- Strong understanding of virtualization platforms (VMWare, Citrix, Microsoft, Nutanix)
- Experience within end user hardware, peripherals and software
- Knowledge of manufacturing systems and Operational Technology IT architecture
- Hands-on knowledge of Active Directory, ADFS, DHCP, DNS, server and network hardware
- Hands-on knowledge over hypervisor like ESXi, Acropolis, Azure Stack, Storage space direct
- Able to independently manage multiple priorities and demands
