Role Summary :

We are looking for a Senior Application Specialist IVD Software to lead end-to-end implementation, integration, and support of Transasias proprietary diagnostic software platforms. This includes Lab Information Systems (LIS), middleware, remote monitoring tools, and analyzer interfaces. The role demands deep expertise in clinical workflows, software troubleshooting, data integration, and user enablement in a lab setting.

Key Responsibilities :

Software Deployment & Integration :

- Install, configure, and validate IVD software platforms (LIS, middleware, device connectivity modules) at customer sites.

- Integrate diagnostic analyzers (Transasia and third-party) with LIS/HIS using HL7, ASTM, or proprietary protocols.

- Customize test menus, calibration parameters, and result flags as per lab SOPs and accreditation requirements.

Technical Application Support :

- Act as a subject matter expert for resolving escalated software issues (data mismatch, communication failures, middleware logic, etc.).

- Collaborate with the product engineering team to replicate and debug software issues, perform log analysis, and deploy hotfixes or patches.

- Maintain system performance, troubleshoot API failures, and manage remote diagnostics with minimal downtime.

Customer Training & Enablement :

- Deliver software product training to lab technicians, pathologists, and IT administrators.

- Build user manuals, software SOPs, and training documentation aligned with lab compliance standards (e.g., NABL, CAP).

- Interface with customer IT teams to ensure infrastructure compatibility, security compliance, and user management.

Cross-Functional Collaboration :

- Partner with product managers and R&D to contribute feature enhancements based on customer feedback.

- Support field service engineers during hybrid troubleshooting (software + hardware).

- Coordinate with QA/RA teams to ensure software updates meet regulatory and clinical validation standards.

Required Technical Skills :

- Strong working knowledge of LIS, HIS, middleware, and analyzer integration in a clinical diagnostics environment.

- Experience with communication protocols : HL7, ASTM, TCP/IP, RS232, and USB data streaming.

- Familiarity with clinical data standards (LOINC, SNOMED, ICD) and compliance frameworks (NABL, ISO 15189, GDPR for lab systems).

- Exposure to remote software tools, API integration, SQL database querying, and log file analysis.

- Understanding of clinical assay logic, QC data handling, and instrument-to-LIS workflow automation.

Qualification & Experience :

- B.E/B.Tech in Biomedical Engineering, Computer Science, or related disciplines

(or)

- M.Sc in Medical Lab Technology, Bioinformatics, or Clinical Software Engineering

- 58 years of relevant experience in healthcare/IVD software implementation and support

- Experience working with diagnostic OEMs, LIS providers, or clinical software integrators

Nice to Have :

- Hands-on experience with IVD instruments like Biochemistry, Immunoassay, or Hematology systems

- Certification in HL7 interface development, ISO 15189 internal auditor, or software validation for medical devices

- Exposure to tools like TeamViewer, Wireshark, MySQL/PostgreSQL, JIRA, Bitbucket, or Git
