Toddle is an AI-powered teaching and learning platform for K12 schools. Built by educators, for educators, it is used by over 200,000 educators across 2,500+ schools in 100+ countries.

Teachers today work 50+ hours a week. Too much of that time is spent navigating fragmented systems and administrative overhead. Our BHAG (Big Hairy Audacious Goal) is to save teachers 10+ hours every week while helping elevate their practices, so that time can go back to what matters most - teaching, learning, and meaningful time with students.

First, Toddle brings the entire teaching and learning lifecycle into one place. Teachers plan and map curriculum, create assessments and gradebooks, maintain student portfolios, communicate with families, and generate progress reports and transcripts - all from a single, coherent system. Toddle also supports adjacent workflows where teachers are closely involved, including attendance, timetables, calendars, accreditation, behaviour management, analytics, and insights.

Second, every layer of the platform is deeply AI-powered. Educators work with a thoughtful AI partner to plan curriculum, create lessons and assessments, assist with grading, write progress report comments, and derive insights from data. Toddle also offers student-facing AI Tutors, enabling highly personalized and immersive learning experiences.

Third, Toddle integrates seamlessly with the broader school technology ecosystem. The platform supports 50+ integrations across SIS platforms, content providers, data & integration platforms, and workspaces such as Google, Apple, and Microsoft.

At Toddle, we believe that real impact in education comes from supporting schools at their core. As a L1 Support Engineer, you are a critical link in this mission, ensuring that the transition to Toddle is seamless, reliable, and technically sound.

- A Natural Problem Solver : You have an analytical mind and a passion for troubleshooting. You aren't satisfied with just "fixing" an error; you enjoy diving into the details, using tools like Postman to understand the root cause and ensure it doesn't happen again.

- Data-Informed & Technically Curious : You have a strong comfort level with structured data (JSON/XML) and APIs. While you may not be a developer, you speak the language of technology fluently and are eager to master the nuances of various SIS architectures.

- A Clear & Empathetic Communicator : You can navigate high-stakes technical conversations with School IT Directors and administrators. You have the rare ability to translate complex API constraints into clear, actionable guidance for non-technical stakeholders.

- Structurally Minded : You enjoy the challenge of mapping complex school structures, from intricate multi-campus rosters to sophisticated grading scales into a clean, functional digital environment.

- High Ownership & Integrity : You take personal responsibility for the success of our schools. You are detail-oriented, proactive in spotting potential data hurdles, and committed to delivering excellence during the critical academic transition periods.

Heres what youll be doing :

As a L1 Support Engineer, you will be connecting the School's core database (SIS) to Toddle. You will work directly with IT Directors at top schools to ensure their students, classes, and grades flow seamlessly between systems. To break this down, you will manage the end-to-end setup of SIS integrations for new schools using API configurations.use tools like Postman and Excel to investigate why a student isn't syncing or why a grade didn't push back.

- Guide schools through "Academic Year Rollovers" (transitioning data from 2025 to 2026), ensuring zero data loss during their critical summer window.

- Translate complex API error logs (e.g., "403 Forbidden") into plain English instructions for non-technical school coordinators.

Is this someone that looks like you :


- Experience : 1-3 years of experience in Technical Account Management, SaaS Implementation, or L1/L2 Technical Support.

- Educational Background : A degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience in a technical operations role).

- API Proficiency : Familiarity with REST APIs, Batch APIs and experience using Postman for testing and debugging.

- Excel Mastery : Ability to handle large datasets, perform audits, and use complex formulas to spot discrepancies.

- Communication : Exceptional verbal and written English skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
