About the role :

As a Senior Product Designer at TNQTech, you'll own products and features from 0 - 1 as well as evolve existing experiences. You'll partner with product managers, engineers, data teams, domain experts, and fellow designers to transform complex enterprise workflows into intuitive, scalable, and impactful products used every day.

This is a senior role with high ownership, responsibilities and outcomes. You'll drive initiatives from problem discovery through implementation, navigate ambiguity, facilitate product discussions, and help teams make better product decisions. Beyond designing great experiences, you'll raise the quality of design across products and contribute to the growth of the design practice itself.

Location : Chennai (Hybrid mode)

Core Responsibilities :

- Own product initiatives and design process end-to-end right from discovery to implementation across web-based enterprise products.

- Partner with product, engineering, and business teams to understand user problems and define the right problems.

- Conduct user interviews, usability studies, workflow analysis, and competitive research to translate the findings into actionable design insights.

- Create wireframes, user flows and interactive prototypes to effectively communicate design concepts and user interactions.

- Conduct usability testing and gather feedback to iterate and refine designs based on user insights and feedback.

- Collaborate closely with engineers to ensure designs are implemented with quality and consistency.

- Use AI as part of your design workflow to accelerate research, ideation, documentation, and prototyping while applying sound product judgment.

Design Leadership :

- Drive product strategy discussions by bringing user insights, systems thinking and design perspective into decision making.

- Coach and mentor designers in the team to help them become a better version of themselves.

Designing with AI :

AI is an integral part of how we design at TNQTech. We encourage designers to use AI to accelerate research, synthesise insights, explore concepts, generate variations, write UX copy, document decisions, and prototype ideas.

As an enterprise software company, we expect designers to use AI responsibly. Confidential product information, customer data, unpublished designs, or proprietary content should never be shared with public AI tools unless explicitly approved. We encourage using AI with limited, anonymised, or synthetic context whenever possible.

Experience & skill :

- 5+ years of experience in Product Design, UX Design, or Interaction Design and minimum 3+ years of leading, hiring, mentoring and nurturing teams.

- Bachelor's degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related discipline (or equivalent practical experience).

- Strong portfolio demonstrating ownership of a product area or major initiative from discovery through launch.

- Experience presenting design rationale and influencing stakeholders across different levels of the organization.

- Experience designing enterprise SaaS products.

- Experience with dashboards, data visualization, or workflow-heavy applications.

- Familiarity with accessibility standards and inclusive design.

- Basic understanding of HTML, CSS, or frontend technologies.

- Experience contributing to or maintaining design systems.

- Familiarity with AI-assisted design workflows and prompt-driven design tools.
