Temenos TAP Functional Consultant

Required Tech Stack / Domain Skills :

- Temenos Transact (T24) modules

- TAP Functional Configuration

Core Banking Domains :

- Lending

- Deposits

- Payments

- Customer Lifecycle

- Business Analysis tools

- SQL (basic)

Key Responsibilities :

1. Requirement Gathering :

- Understand business needs from stakeholders

- Conduct meetings, workshops, and discussions

- Convert business requirements into functional specifications

2. Functional Design :

- Prepare BRD (Business Requirement Document) / FRD (Functional Requirement Document)

- Define workflows, processes, and system behavior

- Suggest improvements or best practices

3. System Configuration & Support :

- Configure the TAP system as per business needs (if tool-based)

- Validate system functionality from a business perspective

- Support users during implementation

4. Coordination with Technical Team :

- Work closely with TAP Developers

- Explain requirements clearly for development

- Review and validate delivered features

5. Testing & UAT :

- Prepare test cases based on requirements

- Perform functional testing & User Acceptance Testing (UAT)

- Ensure the solution meets business expectations

6. Issue Resolution :

- Act as the first point of contact for functional issues

- Analyze and provide solutions or coordinate fixes with tech team

7. Training & Documentation :

- Train end-users on the TAP system

- Create user manuals, SOPs, and process documents

Skills Required :

- Strong business analysis skills

- Good communication & stakeholder management

- Understanding of functional workflows/processes

- Basic knowledge of systems, APIs, and integrations (not deep coding)

- Documentation & problem-solving skills.

- Gather and document business requirements

- Identify gaps and propose solutions

- Configure Temenos modules as per business needs

- Drive functional design, testing, and UAT

- Collaborate with technical teams for integration

- Manage functional deliverables and documentation

- Support change management, risk logs, and issue tracking
