Job Overview :

We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Engineer - Wireless RAN - Layer 3 Development with 7-10 years of experience in the telecommunication or networking domain. The ideal candidate will possess strong hands-on experience with various Radio Resource Management (RRM) algorithms and deep expertise in RRC, S1AP, and X2AP protocols. This role demands excellent C/C++ coding skills, a solid understanding of Layer 1/2 configurations, and proven ability to debug complex real-time issues in wireless RAN environments.

Key Responsibilities :


- Lead the design and implementation of Layer 3 protocols, with a strong focus on RRC, S1AP, and X2AP.


- Develop and optimize various Radio Resource Management (RRM) algorithms, including those for coverage optimization, capacity management, interference mitigation, admission control, and overall performance enhancement.

- Possess a good understanding of Layer 1 and Layer 2 configurations and capabilities to ensure seamless integration and functionality.

- Debug complex real-time issues in live network environments, performing in-depth log file analysis to identify root causes and implement effective solutions.

- Contribute to the evolution of RAN protocols, with desirable knowledge in advanced SON (Self-Organizing Networks) and 5G NR RAN protocols.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate and validate new features and enhancements.

- Write high-quality, efficient, and maintainable code primarily in C/C++.

Mandatory Skills :


- 7-10 years of experience from a telecommunication or networking background.

Strong hands-on experience with various RRM (Radio Resource Management) algorithms, including :

- Coverage optimization

- Capacity optimization

- Interference mitigation

- Admission control

- Performance optimization

- Strong design and implementation experience in RRC, S1AP, and X2AP protocols.

- Good understanding of Layer 1 and Layer 2 configurations and capabilities.

- Must have experience in debugging complex real-time issues and performing log file analysis.

- Good coding skills in C/C++.

Desired Skills :


- Familiarity with any of these technologies : ICIC (Inter-Cell Interference Coordination), ANR (Automatic Neighbour Relation), Mobility optimization, Resource Management, SCTP (Stream Control Transmission Protocol).

- Knowledge in SON (Self-Organizing Networks).

- Knowledge in 5G RAN protocols.
