Job Description :

We are looking for a seasoned Senior SAP MDG Consultant (Support) with strong techno-functional expertise in SAP Master Data Governance (MDG). The role focuses on L2 production support, issue resolution, and ensuring high-quality, consistent master data across global business units.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience supporting MDG processes, workflows, validations, derivations, and data replication, along with strong collaboration skills to work closely with business users and technical teams.

Key Responsibilities :

- Handle L2 production support issues across MDG domains including Customer, Vendor, Material, and Finance, ensuring SLAs are met.

- Investigate and resolve MDG change request issues such as workflow failures, stuck approvals, UI errors, and validation/derivation issues.

- Perform root cause analysis for recurring issues and coordinate with functional and technical teams for permanent fixes.

- Support Data Replication Framework (DRF) from MDG to ECC / S/4HANA and other downstream systems; analyze and resolve IDoc and SOA replication failures.

- Work closely with business users and data stewards to resolve data issues and ensure adherence to governance processes.

- Support MDM initiatives including data standardization, enrichment, cleansing, and master data lifecycle management.

- Monitor, troubleshoot, and fine-tune data quality rules, validations, and derivations based on evolving business needs.

- Prepare and maintain support documentation, SOPs, and knowledge articles.

- Participate in release support, cutover activities, and hypercare to ensure smooth production transitions.

- Support end-user queries and provide functional guidance on MDG processes.

Required Skills & Qualifications :

- 6+ years of hands-on experience in SAP Master Data Governance (MDG) in a techno-functional or support role.

- Strong understanding of MDG architecture and end-to-end master data governance processes.

Solid experience with :

- MDG Change Request types and workflows

- Agent determination and approvals

- Data models, entity types, and attributes

- Field properties

- Validations and derivations

- BRF+ rules framework

Proven experience troubleshooting :

- Master data inconsistencies, duplicates, and data quality issues

- Workflow failures and stuck change requests

- Validation and derivation errors

- Hands-on experience with MDG DRF replication to ECC/S/4HANA and downstream systems.

- Good working knowledge of SAP ERP Logistics, including Customer, Vendor, and Material Master data.

- Experience in MDG enhancements such as validations/derivations, email notifications, replication enhancements, UI changes, and custom field properties.

- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Nice to Have :

- Experience working in global support environments

- Exposure to S/4HANA MDG

- Prior experience in hypercare and go-live support
