Job Description

Summary :


We are seeking an experienced Production Support Engineer to support enterprise banking applications and platforms in a highly available, regulated production environment. The role is hands-on and operationally focused, requiring the ability to analyze, debug, and resolve issues in Azure App Services and cloud-hosted systems while coordinating effectively with engineering, infrastructure, and business teams.


The ideal candidate will be comfortable owning incidents from detection through resolution, driving long-term fixes, and contributing to continuous operational improvements.


Responsibilities :


Incident, Problem & Production Management :


- Provide L2/L3 production support for enterprise banking and financial applications.


- Own and manage production incidents endtoend, including triage, mitigation, resolution, and postincident review.


- Debug Azure App Services issues such as application crashes, performance degradation, configuration errors, deployment failures, and connectivity issues.


- Perform detailed root cause analysis (RCA) and drive permanent fixes in collaboration with development teams.


- Ensure incidents are handled within defined SLAs and communicated effectively to stakeholders.


Azure Application & Infrastructure Support :


- Troubleshoot and debug applications hosted on Azure App Services and Azure Virtual Machines.


- Analyze application logs, metrics, and telemetry using Azure monitoring tools.


- Support application deployments, configuration changes, and environment issues.


- Partner with infrastructure teams on scaling, patching, and availability improvements.


Batch, Messaging & Integration Support :


- Support AutoSys job scheduling in production, including dependency failures and reruns.


- Monitor and troubleshoot Confluent Kafka platforms (topics, consumers, producers, latency, offsets).


- Support APIs, integrations, and data flows across multiple enterprise systems.


Banking Domain & Compliance :


- Operate within banking and financial services environments, ensuring compliance with security, audit, and data governance standards.


- Support BCP and Disaster Recovery activities and participate in resilience testing.


Operational Excellence :


- Create and maintain runbooks, SOPs, and operational documentation.


- Identify recurring issues and recommend automation or process improvements.


- Participate in change management, release readiness reviews, and production deployments.


- Provide mentorship and guidance to junior support engineers.


Requirements :


- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field.


- 7+ years of experience in production support / application support roles.


- Strong hands-on experience debugging Azure App Services in production environments.


- Solid experience supporting applications on Azure Virtual Machines.


- Experience with incident, problem, and change management processes.


- Hands-on experience with AutoSys workload scheduling.


- Experience with Confluent Kafka or similar messaging platforms.
