Description :

We are seeking a detail-oriented Technical Writer with strong hands-on knowledge of Python and Snowflake to create high-quality technical documentation for data engineering and analytics platforms. The ideal candidate should be able to understand Python-based data pipelines and Snowflake data warehouse implementations and translate them into clear, structured documentation.

Key Responsibilities :

- Develop and maintain :

1. Data pipeline documentation

2. Snowflake architecture documentation

3. ETL/ELT workflow guides

4. API documentation

5. Data dictionary & schema documentation

6. Technical SOPs and release notes

- Collaborate with Data Engineers, Developers, and Architects to understand Python-based scripts and Snowflake data models.

- Document SQL queries, stored procedures, views, and Snowflake objects.

- Review Python code to understand transformation logic and workflows.

- Create process flow diagrams and architecture diagrams.

- Maintain version-controlled documentation (Git preferred).

- Ensure documentation is updated with every sprint/release.

Mandatory Skills :

- Strong working knowledge of Python (mandatory).

- Hands-on experience with Snowflake Data Warehouse (mandatory).

- Strong understanding of :

1. SQL

2. Data warehousing concepts

3. ETL/ELT processes

4. REST APIs (if applicable)

- Ability to read and understand Python scripts and Snowflake SQL.

- Experience with documentation tools : Confluence, Notion, Markdown, SharePoint.

- Familiarity with JIRA and Agile methodology.

- Excellent written communication skills.

Preferred Skills :

- Experience in Data Engineering or Analytics environments.

- Knowledge of AWS/Azure data ecosystem.

- Experience with tools like Airflow, dbt, or similar.

- Exposure to BI tools (Power BI, Tableau).

Education :

- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Technical Communication, or related field.
