Role Overview :

Key Responsibilities :

- Gather information through interviews with engineers, product experts, and technical staff.

- Research technical data and convert it into well-structured documentation for both technical and non-technical users.

- Conduct review sessions with stakeholders and apply feedback to documentation.

- Validate and test new procedures; revise documentation based on real-world usability.

- Follow industry-standard documentation templates and quality standards.

- Use tools such as MS Word and Oxygen XML Editor (DITA XML standard).

- Maintain project documentation, update trackers, manage stakeholder expectations, and communicate

progress.

- Work collaboratively in a matrix environment with cross-functional teams across multiple time zones.

- Communicate effectively using globally understood English and adhere to best practices for technical writing.

- Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced, cross-cultural setting.

Mandatory Requirements :

Education : Bachelors or Masters in Engineering, Physics, or Mathematics. (B.Sc. not eligible)

Experience :

- 2-8 years in technical writing (hardware or software background accepted).

- Must be willing to work on hardware documentation.

- Should have worked in a product-based company. If from a services background, the client/project must be product-focused.

- Proficiency in DITA XML (preferred for higher success in interviews).

- Strong experience with MS Word and XML-based editors (e.g., Oxygen).

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

- Solid project management capabilities : tracking tasks, maintaining documentation logs, and communicating updates clearly.

- Must demonstrate job stability a minimum of 2 years tenure per organization.

- Must not currently be employed at restricted organizations.

Work Model : Hybrid Work Mode

Location : Chennai

Must be willing to travel to Chennai for an in-person interview during the selection process.
