Job Description

Profile : Technical Writer.


Location : Bangalore.

The Technical writer position is responsible for creation and updating of documents. The person will liaise with all the teams and work with them on documentation.


Technical Tasks / Activities :


- Make an inventory of the existing documentation.

- Prepare a plan to update the existing documentation and build missing documentation based on the catalog of service.

- Update existing templates and/or produce documents for new services (ensure a standardized style of content).

- Analyze and extract possible solutions for issues from ticketing systems (together with Incident Managers);

- Create, maintain repository of knowledge articles.

- Incorporate knowledge articles into technical documentation once proven to be the correct solution to an issue.

- Document lessons learned.

- Work with technical teams in documenting & updating SOPs.

- Administer, develop, organize and maintain the electronic repositories storing procedures and documents (SharePoint, MS Teams, etc).

Required Experience & Skillset :


- Excellent English written and oral communication skills.

- Excellent knowledge of the Microsoft Suite (Office, SharePoint, Visio).

- Signavio would be a plus.

- Should be able to create User manuals, technical documents in a standard format.

- Suggest changes to existing documents to improvise.

- Ability to transpose best practices in Client context.

- Awareness of ITIL is a mandatory.

- A keen eye for detail and a result driven approach.

- Ability to plan, organize and coordinate actions.

- Ability to adapt to technical and non-technical partners.

- Proven capacity to speak to a small audience.

- Ability to listen and summarize.

- Customer and Team-work oriented.
