Job Title : Microsoft Dynamics 365 POS Technical Specialist

Department : Information Technology / Retail Applications

Reporting To : IT Manager / AGM IT

Location : Kochi/Bangalore(Initial 3 months will be at Bangalore and then move to Kochi)

Job Summary :

We are looking on behalf of a leading brand, Microsoft Dynamics 365 POS Technical Specialist to support, enhance, and maintain the retail store commerce environment built on Microsoft Dynamics 365. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in Retail POS (MPOS/CPOS), D365 F&O retail modules, integrations, and retail transaction troubleshooting.

This role involves working closely with retail operations, merchandising, finance, and IT teams to ensure smooth store operations, reliable transaction processing, and continuous optimization of the POS ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities :

Retail POS Support & Administration :

- Provide technical and functional support for POS systems including Microsoft Dynamics 365 Store Commerce (MPOS) and Microsoft Dynamics 365 Cloud POS (CPOS).

- Troubleshoot POS issues related to transactions, payments, promotions, and device connectivity.

- Ensure continuous availability of store commerce systems across retail outlets.

- Diagnose and resolve transaction failures, sync issues, and payment integration errors.

D365 Retail & ERP Integration :

- Support Retail and Supply Chain modules within Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations.

- Monitor and resolve data synchronization issues between POS, ERP, and backend systems.

- Assist in pricing, promotions, discounts, and item configuration validation across POS and ERP.

- Support data management processes including imports, exports, and data validation.

Technical & Functional Development :

- Assist with customizations, enhancements, and configuration changes for POS and retail modules.

- Collaborate with development teams to support custom tables, forms, and entities using X++ where required.

- Participate in design discussions and solution documentation.

Testing & Deployment :

- Perform functional testing and automation testing using Regression Suite Automation Tool (RSAT).

- Create and execute test cases for retail transactions and integrations.

- Support SIT, UAT, and production deployments.

Incident & Service Management :

- Track and resolve system incidents using tools such as ServiceNow, Jira, and Azure DevOps.

- Ensure SLA adherence and timely resolution of retail system issues.

- Maintain proper documentation for incidents, fixes, and system improvements.

Collaboration & Training :

- Work closely with Retail Operations, Merchandising, Finance, and IT teams.

- Provide user training and system guidance to store teams on POS operations.

- Support rollout of new store setups and POS configurations.

Required Skills & Experience :

- 2 5 years of experience working with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Retail / F&O.

- Hands-on experience with MPOS / CPOS / Store Commerce environments.

- Strong understanding of Retail POS transaction flows, pricing, promotions, and payments.

- Experience with data management, integrations, and troubleshooting in D365.

- Familiarity with SQL and basic X++ concepts.

- Experience with incident management and ticketing systems.

- Understanding of Agile / Scrum delivery methodologies.

Preferred Qualifications :

- Experience with retail or jewellery retail ERP environments.

- Exposure to payment gateway integrations and store device management.

- Experience working in multi-store retail environments.

- Strong documentation and stakeholder communication skills.

Education :

- Bachelors degree in Computer Science / Information Technology / Engineering / related field.
