Job Overview :

We are looking for an experienced Technical Scrum Master to facilitate Agile delivery, improve team productivity, and ensure smooth execution of engineering projects.

The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of Agile methodologies, Scrum frameworks, sprint management, and technical project coordination.

The role involves working closely with Product Owners, developers, engineering teams, and business stakeholders to remove delivery blockers, improve collaboration, manage sprint activities, and ensure predictable project outcomes.

The candidate should be capable of driving continuous improvement, maintaining delivery transparency, and creating an environment where engineering teams can work efficiently.

Key Responsibilities :

- Facilitate Scrum ceremonies, including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.

- Work closely with Product Owners to maintain and refine product backlogs and ensure requirements are clearly defined and prioritized.

- Help teams translate business requirements into actionable user stories with clear acceptance criteria.

- Monitor sprint progress, identify delivery risks, and proactively address obstacles affecting team productivity.

- Shield engineering teams from unnecessary external interruptions and resolve cross-functional dependencies and blockers.

- Track sprint performance using velocity charts, burndown charts, burnup metrics, and other Agile delivery indicators.

- Ensure teams follow Agile principles and established Scrum practices while maintaining flexibility and continuous improvement.

- Collaborate with technical leads, developers, QA teams, and stakeholders to ensure alignment on project objectives and delivery timelines.

- Facilitate communication between engineering teams and business stakeholders to maintain transparency on project progress and challenges.

- Analyse sprint outcomes, identify process inefficiencies, and implement improvements to enhance delivery performance.

- Support effective release planning, dependency management, and coordination across multiple teams.

- Maintain project documentation, sprint reports, action items, and delivery updates using Jira and Confluence.

- Encourage team ownership, accountability, collaboration, and continuous learning.

- Identify opportunities to improve Agile maturity and streamline development workflows without introducing unnecessary processes.

Required Skills and Qualifications :

- Strong experience working as a Scrum Master, preferably within technical or software engineering teams.

- Excellent understanding of Agile methodologies, including Scrum, Kanban, and SAFe.

- Experience facilitating sprint planning, daily stand-ups, retrospectives, and sprint reviews.

- Proficiency in Jira and Confluence for backlog management, sprint tracking, and project reporting.

- Good understanding of Agile metrics, including velocity, burndown charts, burnup charts, and sprint performance indicators.

- Experience managing dependencies, resolving blockers, and coordinating cross-functional teams.

- Ability to work closely with Product Owners on backlog refinement, user stories, and acceptance criteria.

- Understanding of software development lifecycle and engineering team workflows.

- Strong stakeholder management, communication, facilitation, and problem-solving skills.

- Ability to identify delivery risks and implement effective corrective measures.
