Technical Project Manager - Java/AWS

Role Overview :

We are seeking an experienced Technical Project Manager with strong expertise in Java Backend Development and Cloud Migration initiatives.

The ideal candidate should possess a balanced blend of leadership and hands-on technical capabilities (30% Management, 70% Technical).

The role involves driving large-scale application modernization, cloud transformation programs, stakeholder management, and customer engagements while providing technical guidance to development teams.

Technical Responsibilities (70%) :

- Lead architecture and design discussions for Java-based enterprise applications.

- Drive cloud migration and modernization initiatives across AWS/Azure/GCP.

- Design scalable Microservices and distributed systems.

- Guide teams on Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, event-driven architectures, and cloud-native solutions.

- Collaborate with DevOps teams for CI/CD implementation and infrastructure automation.

- Perform technical solution reviews and ensure adherence to best practices.

- Support performance optimization, security compliance, and reliability engineering.

Project & Stakeholder Management (30%) :

- Manage project delivery across multiple workstreams.

- Engage with business stakeholders and clients to understand requirements and define technical roadmaps.

- Lead project planning, risk management, dependency tracking, and status reporting.

- Coordinate cross-functional teams including Development, QA, DevOps, and Product teams.

- Drive customer-facing discussions and solution presentations.

Tech Stack :

- Core Technology : Java 8/11/17+, Spring Boot, Microservices Architecture, REST APIs, Hibernate/JPA, SQL & NoSQL Databases

- Cloud : AWS (Preferred), Azure / GCP (Good to Have), Cloud Migration & Modernization, Containerization

- DevOps : Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes, Git, CI/CD Pipelines, Infrastructure as Code

Leadership :

- Stakeholder Management, Client Interactions, Team Leadership, Delivery Management, Agile/Scrum, Vendor Coordination

Preferred Qualifications :

- OCP (Oracle Certified Professional), AWS Solutions Architect Associate/Professional, Azure Architect Certification, PMP / Scrum Certification (Good to Have)

Ideal Candidate Profile :

- 12 - 18 years of IT experience.

- Strong Java Backend development foundation.

- Proven experience leading Cloud Migration programs.

- Experience handling enterprise customers and stakeholder communication.

- Hands-on technical contributor with leadership responsibilities.

- Not a pure Architect profile; should actively drive delivery and technical execution.
