Job Description :

We are seeking a highly skilled and specialized Technical Project Manager (TPM) to drive the execution and delivery within our Data organization. This role demands strong technical project management skills, experience in Scrum methodology and Agile framework, and proficiency in leveraging Jira to manage complex data initiatives.

In partnership with the Director, you will be responsible for ensuring our Data org operates at high efficiency to deliver robust, scalable data solutions, infrastructure, and pipelines. A key focus will be the implementation of CI/CD, comprehensive observability, and strong data governance best practices across all data initiatives.

Key Responsibilities :

Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) :

- Drive the implementation and maturity of robust CI/CD pipelines for all data code (ETL/ELT scripts, data models, infrastructure as code).

- Work with our data engineers and architects to automate testing, deployment, and rollback strategies to ensure reliable and repeatable releases.

Observability and Monitoring Implementation :

- Lead projects to implement comprehensive monitoring and observability solutions across the data platform.

- Define key metrics for data freshness, quality, and pipeline performance, ensuring the engineering teams have the necessary alerting and dashboards to maintain platform reliability.

Data Governance and Quality :

- Work to incorporate data governance best practices into the project lifecycle.

- Ensure all new data solutions adhere to standards for security, data lineage, metadata management, and quality checks.

Jira Mastery for Data Teams :

- Own and manage the project lifecycle within Jira.

- Leverage Jira to track team velocity, capacity, and project health, providing real-time visibility into the execution of technical work, including governance and CI/CD initiatives.

Technical Program Execution :

- Drive the end-to-end delivery of complex technical data projects

Required Qualifications :

- Experience : 10+ years in a TPM or Scrum Master role, with a minimum of 3 years managing Data Engineering, Data Platform, or DevOps projects.

- DevOps Expertise : Demonstrated experience in managing projects focused on implementing and maturing CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and observability solutions.

- Agile & Scrum Expertise : Working knowledge of Agile frameworks and Scrum methodology. Proven ability to run and adapt Scrum practices effectively.

- Jira Proficiency : Expert-level knowledge of Jira administration and utilization for project management and detailed reporting.

- Data Fluency : Fundamental understanding of Data Engineering concepts, cloud data warehouses, ETL/ELT processes, and the importance of data governance and quality.

Preferred Qualifications :

- Prior experience managing projects that establish or mature a data governance framework (e.g., implementing a metadata catalog or data lineage tool).

- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.

- Project Management Professional (PMP) or PMI Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP).
