Introduction & Objective :

We are seeking a Technical Lead Database Security Research (DAM) to lead database security research and policy implementation for Database Activity Monitoring across enterprise environments.

This role requires strong multi-database exposure and a deep understanding of database security risks, compliance standards, and real-time monitoring mechanisms.

The candidate will play a key role in strengthening database security posture across diverse platforms.

Key Responsibilities :

- Conduct in-depth research on vulnerabilities, CVEs, and patches across RDBMS, NoSQL, and Big Data platforms

- Continuously monitor and analyze database traffic patterns and commands to identify potential attack vectors and suspicious activities

- Design, implement, and deploy real-time security policies and detection controls for Database Activity Monitoring systems

- Develop automation tools and utilities using Go and Python to enhance security monitoring and response efficiency

- Ensure alignment with compliance and regulatory standards including DISA, CIS, PCI, GDPR, HIPAA, SOX, and FISMA

- Provide technical leadership, guidance, and recommendations on database security best practices

- Prepare and maintain detailed security documentation, research findings, and policy guidelines

Required Skills :

- Strong hands-on experience with Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL, and DB2 databases

- Expertise in Linux operating systems

- Advanced SQL knowledge and strong proficiency in Regular Expressions (RegEx)

- Solid understanding of Information Security fundamentals

- Good understanding of REST APIs

- Basic knowledge of cloud platforms including AWS, Azure, and GCP

Preferred Skills :

- Experience implementing compliance frameworks

- Knowledge of database maintenance and performance tuning

- Hands-on experience with Go and Python scripting

- Shell scripting expertise

- Familiarity with CI/CD processes and tools

- Exposure to NoSQL databases and Big Data platforms
