Technical Business Analyst - Banking & Financial Services Domain

About the Role :

We are actively seeking a highly experienced and technically adept Technical Business Analyst to join our team in Navi Mumbai.

This is a crucial onsite role for a seasoned professional with 10+ years of experience in the IT industry, specifically with a strong background in API integration projects and a proven track record in the end-to-end software delivery lifecycle.

As a Technical Business Analyst, you will play a pivotal role as the crucial bridge between our banking client's business stakeholders and our technical development teams.

You will be responsible for eliciting, analyzing, documenting, and communicating complex technical and business requirements, with a particular emphasis on defining specifications for API-based integrations and ensuring smooth software delivery.

Your deep understanding of data flows, system integration, and banking domain processes will be essential in translating strategic objectives into actionable technical solutions that drive digital transformation.

Key Responsibilities :

Requirements Elicitation & Analysis :

- Lead and facilitate workshops, interviews, and meetings with business stakeholders to comprehensively gather, analyze, and document functional and non-functional requirements.

- Deep dive into existing business processes and systems to identify gaps, opportunities for improvement, and dependencies.

- Translate high-level business needs into detailed technical requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.

API Integration Specialization :

- Serve as the primary liaison for API-based projects, working closely with API developers and consumers.

- Define API specifications, including request/response formats, authentication, error handling, and data models.

- Collaborate with technical teams to ensure seamless integration design and development.

- Analyze and document data flows across various systems involved in API integrations.

Software Delivery Lifecycle (SDLC) Management :

- Actively participate in and drive phases of the end-to-end software delivery lifecycle, from conceptualization and requirements gathering to testing, deployment, and post-implementation support.

- Work closely with development, QA, and project management teams to ensure requirements are clearly understood, implemented correctly, and delivered on time.

- Assist in creating test cases, reviewing test plans, and supporting user acceptance testing (UAT).

Liaison & Communication :

- Bridge the communication gap between business users and technical teams, translating complex technical concepts into understandable business terms and vice-versa.

- Facilitate effective communication and collaboration among all project stakeholders.

- Manage stakeholder expectations and resolve conflicts or ambiguities in requirements.

System Integration & Data Flow Understanding :

- Develop a strong understanding of existing enterprise systems, their interdependencies, and data flows.

- Analyze and document current and future state system architectures, focusing on integration points.

Domain Expertise (Banking/Financial Services) :

- Leverage and deepen understanding of banking and financial services domain processes, products, and regulatory requirements to inform and enrich requirement specifications.

- Ensure solutions are compliant with industry standards and best practices in the financial sector.

Required Skills & Qualifications :

Experience : Minimum of 10+ years of proven experience as a Technical Business Analyst or in a similar role within IT.

API Integration : Strong and demonstrable experience with API-based projects, including understanding API design principles (REST, SOAP), defining API specifications, and working on integration projects.

Software Delivery : Proven track record of active involvement and successful delivery within the full software development life cycle (SDLC).

Analytical Skills : Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to break down complex problems into manageable components.

Communication : Excellent verbal and written communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, capable of interacting effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders at all levels.

Liaison Ability : Demonstrated ability to effectively liaise and facilitate discussions between business users and technical development teams.

System Integration : Strong understanding of data flows, system integration patterns, and enterprise application integration (EAI) concepts.

Domain Preference : Experience working within the Banking or Financial Services domain is highly preferred.

Education : B.E / B.Tech / MCA degree is mandatory.
