Job Description - Techno-Functional Consultant (CPG/Retail Analytics & Data Solutions)

Domain : CPG / Retail / FMCG / Consumer Analytics

We are hiring a Techno-Functional Consultant with strong stakeholder management, business consulting, and analytics capabilities for a leading CPG/Retail client. The ideal candidate should be capable of bridging business and technology teams while driving data-driven decision-making initiatives.

Key Responsibilities :

Functional & Consulting (Primary Focus) :

- Gather business requirements and conduct stakeholder discussions/workshops

- Prepare BRDs, functional documents, user stories, and process flows

- Drive communication between business, analytics, and technical teams

- Manage client expectations, risks, and project deliverables

- Provide insights around :

1. Sales & Distribution Analytics

2. Consumer/Shopper Analytics

3. Trade Promotions

4. Supply Chain & Retail Performance

5. KPI Tracking & Dashboarding

- Conduct client presentations, demos, and status updates

- Mentor junior analysts and team members

Technical & Analytics :

- Perform data analysis using SQL and Excel

- Work with large datasets for validation, KPI calculations, and reporting

- Utilize Python for data handling and automation

- Build and validate dashboards using Power BI

- Collaborate on data pipelines, reporting frameworks, and analytics initiatives

- Support trend analysis, forecasting, segmentation, and performance analysis

Required Skills :

Functional / Consulting :

- Requirement gathering & stakeholder management

- BRD preparation and functional documentation

- Experience with Databricks, Azure DevOps (ADO), Power BI, Figma

- Strong communication, presentation, and client-facing skills

- Team management and cross-functional coordination

- Consulting mindset with strong ownership attitude

Technical :

- Strong SQL & Advanced Excel skills

- Basic to intermediate Python knowledge

- Power BI/dashboarding exposure

- Understanding of analytics and data science concepts

Domain Expertise :

- Good understanding of CPG/Retail KPIs and business processes

- Exposure to Nielsen, Kantar, IRI datasets is a plus

Preferred :

- Experience in consulting/client-facing analytics roles

- Agile delivery exposure

- Knowledge of cloud/data platforms

- Exposure to forecasting or advanced analytics initiatives
