About the role:

We are seeking a Jasper Migration Engineer to upgrade our JasperReports Server from 6.x to the latest 8/9/10 releases. You will move the platform to Java 17/21 and Tomcat 10/11, handle the javax.* to jakarta.* migration, and update Spring Security and SSO (SAML/OIDC/LDAP/AD) integrations. The role also covers Maven/Gradle dependency fixes, CI/CD and containerized deployments, and database migration validation. Clear documentation and knowledge transfer are a key part of this fully remote position.

Responsibilities:

- Perform JasperReports Server upgrades from 6.x to 8/9/10 versions.

- Migrate the platform to Java 17/21 and Tomcat 10/11, including the javax.* to jakarta.* transition.

- Update and maintain Spring Security and SSO integrations (SAML/OIDC/LDAP/AD).

- Manage Maven/Gradle builds and remediate dependencies.

- Support CI/CD pipelines and modern deployment practices, including containerization where applicable.

- Carry out repository migration and validation using SQL and database skills.

- Administer and develop on JasperReports Server / JasperSoft.

- Produce clear technical documentation and conduct knowledge transfer.

Requirements:

- 5+ years of hands-on experience with JasperReports Server / JasperSoft administration and development.

- Proven experience performing JasperReports Server version upgrades (6.x to 8/9/10 preferred).

- Experience with Spring Security and SSO/SAML/OIDC/LDAP/AD integration.

- Proficiency with Maven/Gradle build systems and dependency remediation.

- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and modern deployment practices (containerization is a plus).

- Strong SQL/database skills for repository migration and validation.

- Ability to produce clear technical documentation and conduct knowledge transfer.
