Team Lead - AI Projects

Description :

Key Responsibilities :

- Design and implement scalable backend systems using Django and Python.

- Build and optimize AI pipelines using LLMs, RAG frameworks, embeddings, and prompt orchestration.

- Architect and manage integrations with vector databases such as Pinecone, Weaviate, or FAISS.

- Lead development of multi-agent AI systems using orchestration frameworks like LangChain or CrewAI.

- Ensure production readiness, observability, and performance optimization of AI services.

- Mentor junior engineers and establish engineering best practices, code reviews, and documentation standards.

- Collaborate with product, data, and client stakeholders to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.

Required Skills & Experience :

Must Have :

- 5 to 8+ years of software engineering experience with at least 23 years in AI/LLM-based projects

- Strong backend development experience using Django and REST frameworks

- Hands-on experience building and deploying RAG pipelines and LLM-powered applications

- Experience working with vector databases and embedding pipelines

- Familiarity with model APIs such as OpenAI API, Azure OpenAI Service, or open-source LLM deployments

Experience with :

- Multi-agent frameworks

- Prompt evaluation and guardrails

- LLM cost optimization and caching strategies

- Exposure to containerization and deployment using Docker and cloud platforms such as Amazon Web Services or Microsoft Azure

Leadership Expectations :

- Own delivery timelines and technical quality across AI projects

- Act as the primary technical escalation point for AI architecture and performance challenges

- Drive adoption of reusable AI components and internal frameworks across projects

Ideal Candidate Profile :

- Strong problem-solving mindset with the ability to navigate ambiguity in rapidly evolving AI technologies

- Prior experience leading small engineering teams or mentoring developers
