TCS - SAP FICO Functional Consultant

Role Overview :

We are looking for a highly skilled SAP FICO Functional Consultant with strong technical-functional expertise in SAP Finance & Controlling modules across SAP ECC and SAP S/4HANA environments.

The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in SAP FICO configuration, S/4HANA Finance implementations, cross-module integrations, custom developments, and production support.

The candidate will be responsible for solution design, configuration, testing, integration, and support of SAP FICO functionalities, while collaborating with ABAP, BASIS, and cross-functional teams for enterprise SAP transformation projects.

Key Responsibilities :

- Configure and support SAP FI and CO modules in ECC and S/4HANA systems.

- Work extensively on:

- General Ledger (GL)

- Accounts Payable (AP)

- Accounts Receivable (AR)

- Asset Accounting (AA)

- Bank Accounting

- Cost Center Accounting (CCA)

- Profit Center Accounting (PCA)

- Internal Orders

- Product Costing

- COPA (Profitability Analysis)

- Configure SAP S/4HANA Universal Journal and New GL functionalities.

- Handle end-to-end Record-to-Report (R2R) financial processes and month-end/year-end closing

activities.

Perform SAP FICO configuration using SPRO including :

- Company Codes

- Fiscal Year Variants

- Posting Period Variants

- Document Types

- Field Status Variants

- Validation/Substitution Rules

- Automatic Account Determination

- Tax Configuration

- Payment Terms

- Dunning Procedures

Work on integration of SAP FICO with :

- SAP MM

- SAP SD

- SAP PP

- SAP PS

- SAP Treasury

Prepare Functional Specifications (FS) for RICEFW developments :

- Reports

- Interfaces

- Conversions

- Enhancements

- Forms

- Workflows

Coordinate with ABAP teams for :

- User Exits

- BADIs

- Enhancements

- SmartForms

- Adobe Forms

- Interfaces

Work on SAP integration technologies including :

- ALE

- IDOCs

- SLT

- RFCs

- APIs

- Support SAP Fiori applications and S/4HANA Finance innovations.

- Participate in implementation, rollout, migration, upgrade, AMS, and support projects.

Conduct :

- Unit Testing

- SIT

- Regression Testing

- UAT Support

- Prepare test scripts, configuration documents, KT documents, and deployment plans.

- Troubleshoot production issues, analyze root causes, and resolve incidents/change requests within SLA timelines.

- Collaborate with BASIS, security, and infrastructure teams during deployments and system refresh activities.

- Participate in client workshops, technical discussions, and solution design reviews.

Required Technical Skills :

- 4 to 12 years of hands-on SAP FICO consulting experience.

- Strong expertise in SAP FI and CO configuration.

- Experience in SAP ECC and SAP S/4HANA Finance implementations/support projects.

Strong technical-functional understanding of :

- Universal Journal

- New GL

- AP/AR

- Asset Accounting

- Banking

- Costing

- COPA

- Parallel Accounting

- Intercompany Accounting

Hands-on experience in :

- SAP S/4HANA Finance

- ALE/IDOCs

- SLT Replication

- Interfaces

- SAP Fiori

- Workflow integration

- Strong understanding of integration points between SAP FICO and:

- MM

- SD

- PP

- Experience in custom development coordination with ABAP teams.

- Familiarity with debugging concepts and technical troubleshooting.

- Experience with ticketing and ITSM tools such as ServiceNow/JIRA.

- Knowledge of SAP transport management and release processes.

- Exposure to SAP Activate methodology and Agile delivery model preferred.

Preferred Qualifications :

- Bachelors degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Commerce, Finance, or related discipline.

- SAP FICO Certification preferred.

- SAP S/4HANA Finance certification is an added advantage.

- Experience working on large-scale enterprise SAP transformation projects preferred.
