TCS - SAP FICO Consultant - Implementation & Support

Job Summary :

We are seeking an experienced SAP FICO Consultant with strong expertise in SAP Finance (FI) and Controlling (CO) modules to support enterprise finance transformation and ERP implementation initiatives. The ideal candidate should possess hands-on experience in SAP FICO configuration, business process mapping, integration, support, and implementation across SAP ECC and/or SAP S/4HANA environments.

The role involves working closely with finance stakeholders, business users, and technical teams to design, implement, and support scalable SAP financial solutions aligned with organizational requirements.

Key Responsibilities :

- Configure and support SAP FI and CO modules based on business and finance process requirements.

- Work closely with finance, accounting, and business teams to gather requirements and translate them into SAP solutions.

- Configure and maintain key SAP FICO components including :

a. General Ledger (GL)

b. Accounts Payable (AP)

c. Accounts Receivable (AR)

d. Asset Accounting (AA)

e. Bank Accounting

f. Cost Center Accounting (CCA)

g. Profit Center Accounting (PCA)

h. Internal Orders

i. Product Costing

j. Profitability Analysis (COPA)

- Support SAP S/4HANA Finance implementations, migrations, and enhancement projects.

- Perform configuration for financial postings, tax structures, payment programs, document types, fiscal year variants, and chart of accounts.

- Work on integration of SAP FICO with MM, SD, PP, HR, and other SAP modules.

- Analyze business processes and recommend process improvements and SAP best practices.

- Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end financial closing activities.

- Develop functional specifications for custom developments, reports, enhancements, forms, interfaces, and workflows.

- Coordinate with ABAP and technical teams for development, testing, and issue resolution.

- Perform data migration, reconciliation, and validation activities during implementation and support projects.

- Conduct unit testing, integration testing, UAT support, and defect resolution activities.

- Troubleshoot SAP FICO-related issues, perform root cause analysis (RCA), and provide production support.

- Prepare configuration documents, process flows, SOPs, and user training materials.

- Participate in Agile/Scrum project execution and support activities.

Required Qualifications :

- 4 to 9 years of experience in SAP FICO implementation and support projects.

- Strong hands-on expertise in SAP FI and CO module configuration.

- Good understanding of finance and accounting business processes.

- Experience working in SAP ECC and/or SAP S/4HANA environments.

- Hands-on experience in SAP integrations with MM, SD, PP, and other modules.

- Experience in support, rollout, migration, or implementation projects.

- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.

- Good communication and stakeholder management abilities.

Preferred Skills :

- SAP FICO certification preferred.

- Exposure to SAP S/4HANA migration projects will be an added advantage.

- Knowledge of FSCM, Treasury, or Central Finance is a plus.

- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.

- Experience in manufacturing, retail, or BFSI industries preferred.
