System Programmer - CICS

Description :

We are seeking an experienced CICS System Programmer with strong hands-on expertise in IBM CICS Transaction Server within z/OS environments. This is a core system programming role, focused on installation, configuration, maintenance, and performance optimization. This position is based at Hyderabad Location(WFO)

Note : Candidates with only Admin /Support experience need not apply

Responsibilities :

- Install, configure, customize, and upgrade IBM CICS Transaction Server on z/OS

- Set up and manage CICS regions, including AOR, TOR, and FOR configurations

- Define, manage, and maintain CICS resources using RDO, CSD, and DFHCSDUP

- Administer and support CICSPlex SM environments

- Perform SMP/E maintenance, apply PTFs, and manage CICS version upgrades

- Conduct performance tuning and capacity planning for CICS regions

- Diagnose and resolve system-level issues including abends, dumps, and performance bottlenecks

- Collaborate with z/OS system programmers, application teams, and middleware teams

Mandatory Skills & Experience :

- Strong hands-on experience in CICS System Programming

- In-depth knowledge of IBM z/OS

- Proven experience with CICSPlex SM

- Expertise in RDO, CSD, and DFHCSDUP

- Solid understanding of CICS architecture and internal components

- Experience using SMP/E for CICS maintenance and upgrades
