Role Overview :
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Technical Program Manager to lead and execute technology-centric programs across the Syndigo Technology Group. This individual will be responsible for managing end-to-end technical program lifecycles, driving SDLC and engineering process excellence, and ensuring the successful rollout of major infrastructure, platform, and software initiatives.
This is not a traditional project management roleit requires deep technical acumen, systems thinking, cross-functional leadership, and ownership of technology-driven transformation efforts.
Key Responsibilities :
1. Program Governance and Execution :
- Define, plan, and execute strategic technical programs including platform migrations, cloud transitions, infrastructure upgrades, and internal systems evolution.
- Create program charters, work breakdown structures, dependency matrices, and timelines.
- Own technical program tracking, risk mitigation, status communication, and cross-team coordination.
2. SDLC Governance and Process Optimization :
- Establish and scale standardized SDLC frameworks, engineering best practices, and quality gates across technology teams.
- Drive initiatives around CI/CD, software release governance, peer review automation, and post-deployment analysis.
- Track delivery metrics, engineering KPIs, and overall development efficiency.
3. Cross-Functional Technical Leadership :
- Collaborate with Engineering, QA, Architecture, DevOps, CloudOps, IT/Infrastructure, InfoSec, and Product teams to ensure alignment across technical programs.
- Lead and facilitate technical working groups and steering committees for program governance.
- Represent technology in cross-departmental strategy and operations initiatives.
4. Engineering Tooling and Administration :
- Administer Jira projects, workflows, and Confluence spaces including permissions, configurations, and process automations.
- Define taxonomy, structure, and governance rules for documentation and ticketing systems.
- Support adoption of developer productivity platforms like Jellyfish, DX, LinearB (optional but preferred).
5. Operational Excellence :
- Identify and implement improvements to engineering workflows, collaboration frameworks, and feedback loops.
- Build and maintain a technology intranet site, manage internal documentation and training programs.
- Assist in coordinating and preparing for technology audits, compliance reviews, and reporting obligations.
6. Global Coordination :
- Work effectively across global development teams spanning the US, India, and other geographies.
- Provide operational overlap with US Central Time Zone (availability till at least 10 AM CST).
Required Technical Skills & Experience :
Program Management :
- 5+ years leading large-scale technical programs (e.g., cloud migration, SaaS platform rollout, IT audits).
- 5+ years experience in project management, SDLC lifecycle delivery, and governance practices.
Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) :
- Strong experience driving Agile, Scrum, and Kanban implementations at scale.
- Deep understanding of CI/CD pipelines, release management, defect triaging, and backlog grooming.
Tools & Platforms :
- Proficiency in Jira, Confluence, and SharePoint (admin-level experience preferred).
- Familiarity with DevOps tools, engineering dashboards, and program analytics tools.
Process and Compliance :
- Experience supporting or leading technical audits, SOX, or ISO compliance from an engineering standpoint.
- Ability to identify gaps in process, establish remediation plans, and deliver audit-ready documentation.
Collaboration & Communication :
- Proven success working cross-functionally with Engineering, Product, QA, Architecture, DevOps, and Security.
- Excellent skills in documentation, stakeholder communication, executive presentations, and status reporting.
Other Desirable Skills :
- Exposure to developer productivity tools like Jellyfish, DX, LinearB.
- Understanding of microservices, APIs, cloud-native architectures (AWS preferred).
- Experience working in SaaS-based product companies or digital platform environments.
Qualifications :
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field (Masters degree is a plus).
- Certifications such as PMP, Scrum Master, or SAFe Program Consultant (SPC) are preferred but not mandatory.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and strategic thinking skills.
