SynapseCo - Project Manager - AI/ML

Role Overview :

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Manager AI/ML to lead and drive the successful delivery of AI/ML-based software solutions. This role demands strong technical acumen in artificial intelligence and machine learning, combined with seasoned project management experience. The ideal candidate will possess hands-on development experience, demonstrated leadership capabilities, and a proven track record of managing high-impact projects across diverse geographies.

Key Responsibilities :

Project Leadership & Delivery :

- Lead the full project lifecycle for AI/ML initiatives from planning, design, development, testing to deployment and post-delivery support.

- Drive the adoption of Agile/Scrum methodologies to ensure transparency, efficiency, and continuous delivery.

- Define and track project goals, scope, deliverables, timelines, and budgets.

- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), risk factors, and resource allocations.

Technical Oversight :

- Actively contribute to AI/ML solution architecture, design decisions, and code reviews.

- Collaborate closely with development teams to ensure solutions are scalable, efficient, and aligned with client objectives.

- Oversee the implementation of AI/ML algorithms using Python, and ensure data pipelines and models are integrated effectively.

- Evaluate technical feasibility and provide accurate estimations and resource planning for AI/ML projects.

Client Engagement :

- Manage and nurture relationships with international clients (US, UK, Australia, etc.), acting as the primary point of contact.

- Translate client requirements into technical objectives and actionable plans.

- Lead client meetings, demos, progress reviews, and handle escalations with diplomacy and urgency.

- Identify upselling opportunities within current engagements and support business development teams with pre-sales solutioning.

Team & Stakeholder Management :

- Lead cross-functional teams including Developers, QA, UI/UX Designers, DevOps, and Marketing.

- Conduct performance evaluations, mentor junior project managers and developers, and build high-performance teams.

- Coordinate inter-departmental communication to ensure timely deliverables and eliminate blockers.

Operational Excellence :

- Manage multiple concurrent projects while balancing priorities and resource constraints.

- Maintain and leverage project management platforms like JIRA, Trello, Asana for task tracking, sprint planning, and reporting.

- Collaborate with QA teams to ensure testing best practices are embedded throughout the SDLC.

- Maintain organized documentation and deliver project status reports to senior management and clients.

Required Skills and Qualifications :

- 10+ years of overall experience in software development with 2+ years of hands-on coding experience.

- Minimum 3 years of project management and/or technical leadership experience in the AI/ML domain.

- Proven experience delivering AI/ML projects using Python in production environments.

- Proficient with Agile project management tools (JIRA, Trello, Asana).

- Experience working with international clients and managing multi-cultural, remote teams.

- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.

- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities; experienced in managing high email volumes and parallel deliverables.

- Cloud experience in AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform, with ability to integrate AI/ML solutions into cloud-native architectures.

- Deep understanding of QA processes, software testing lifecycle, and release management.
