We are seeking a highly skilled and hands-on Senior Appian Developer. This role requires a strong technologist with deep expertise in Appian (version 25.4 or later), combined with strong analytical thinking, problem-solving ability, and a clear understanding of why solutions are being built - not just what is being built. The ideal candidate will operate at the intersection of business and technology, partnering closely with business stakeholders, product owners, and engineering leadership across different regions to design scalable, maintainable, and best-in-class Appian solutions.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design, develop, and implement end-to-end business process solutions using Appian, adhering to best practices and strong design principles.

- Work directly with business stakeholders to understand requirements, challenge assumptions where needed, and translate business needs into robust technical solutions.

- Lead solution design discussions, ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture and long-term scalability.

- Build and maintain Appian applications including interfaces, process models, rules, integrations, and records.

- Develop and maintain efficient, scalable data models and database designs.

- Ensure solutions are built with a strong focus on performance, reusability, and maintainability.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams across US and India, ensuring clear communication and alignment.

- Operate in an Agile environment, contributing to sprint planning, estimation, and delivery.

- Take ownership of deliverables and drive execution with minimal supervision.

- Mentor junior developers and contribute to establishing development standards and best practices.

Required Qualifications :

- Bachelors degree in computer science or a related field.

- 8+ years of overall professional software development experience.

- 5+ years of hands-on experience in Appian development, including complex enterprise implementations.

- Strong hands-on expertise with Appian 25.4 or later (or ability to rapidly upskill to latest versions).

- Deep familiarity with Appian components including interfaces, process models, rules, integrations, and tasks (experience with database-backed tasks preferred).

- Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and experience working in Agile delivery models.

- Proven experience in data modeling and database design.

- Strong working knowledge of MS SQL Server.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to understand underlying business drivers.

- Excellent communication skills with the ability to work directly with business teams and senior technology leadership.

- Experience working in globally distributed teams (US/India collaboration).

Preferred Skills :

- Appian certification (preferred).

- Prior experience automating Legal and Compliance workflows for financial institutions, with an understanding of regulatory, governance, and control-oriented processes.

- Advanced experience with MS SQL Server for performance tuning and optimization.

- Experience with modern development technologies and frameworks (React, Python, Node.js, etc.).

- Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
