Google Cloud Architect (GCP Foundation & Multi Cloud)
Role Purpose :
Own and govern the GCP foundation / landing zone architecture for the enterprise, enabling secure and scalable Google Cloud adoption aligned with the Azure first platform strategy and multi?cloud integration needs.
Key Responsibilities :
- Design and manage GCP landing zone / foundation (organization structure, projects, environments, shared services).
- Define network architecture: VPC, load balancing, VPN/Interconnect, hybrid connectivity and segmentation.
- Establish security and governance: IAM, org policies, KMS, Secret Manager, guardrails and compliance controls.
- Define HA/DR/Backup & retention and resilience strategies for GCP workloads and data services.
- Provide reference architectures and design assurance for GCP workloads (platform and data services), including GKE, Compute Engine, Cloud Run, Cloud SQL, GCS as applicable.
- Enable IaC and automation using Terraform and integrate CI/CD (GitOps/pipelines) for repeatable deployments.
- Define standards for monitoring, logging, and cost optimization (FinOps); support customer/stakeholder design discussions.
- Support multi?cloud architecture and integration patterns (including migration/integration considerations where relevant).
Skills/Experience :
- Strong enterprise GCP architecture experience covering foundation services (network, security, integration, automation).
- Hands on with Terraform/IaC; familiarity with CI/CD implementation.
- Expertise in network design, HA/DR, backup/retention architecture, and operational readiness.
- Experience leading GCP design discussions with customers/stakeholders.
Preferred :
Certification: Google Professional Cloud Architect.
