Job Description

Job Title : Technology Program Manager.

Location : Mumbai.

Key Responsibilities :

Program Delivery & Operational Oversight :

- Lead the technical delivery lifecycle for Program Alps across Mumbai and Manila, with ownership of architecture-aligned execution, design validation, and engineering team coordination.

- Conduct daily stand-ups to align delivery goals with platform architecture, ensuring backlog items are technically viable and scalable.

- Proactively manage technical impediments, coordinating with Solution Architects, Platform Owners, and Chapter Leaders to resolve architecture, infra, or integration-related blockers.

- Drive alignment with deployment patterns, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud infrastructure standards used across PG.

- Act as TPM SPOC for incident response, root cause analysis (RCA), and continuous improvement planning across BUAP platforms.

Technical Governance & Reporting :

- Create and present weekly technical status dashboards covering architecture progress, design reviews, risks, DevOps metrics, and incident trends.

- Lead and contribute to architecture design reviews, evaluating microservices dependencies, data flow models, and infra configurations.

- Manage Change Requests and SOW updates that involve architectural changes, integration strategy, or refactoring effort.

- Ensure delivery is aligned with PGs reference architectures, security models (IAM, RBAC), data management principles, and regulatory standards.

Team & Engineering Management :

- Oversee team onboarding, ensuring proper access to architecture diagrams, knowledge base, CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins/GitHub Actions), and data contracts.

- Guide engineers on design documentation standards, API specifications (Swagger/OpenAPI), logging practices, and usage of platform SDKs.

- Foster a DevOps and Agile mindset : mentor engineers on code review best practices, CI validation, cloud deployment standards, and post-deployment observability.

- Promote a strong engineering culture by organizing architecture knowledge sharing sessions, PG-stakeholder walkthroughs, and internal demo days.

Note : The Technical Project Manager may also be required to play the role of Scrum master [Conduct sprint planning sessions, run retrospectives, lead grooming sessions and take up Agile ceremonies as required.

Strategic Resource & Technical Capacity Planning :

- Maintain a skill matrix aligned with PGs architecture roadmap focusing on AWS, Snowflake, Kafka, Java, Python, React, ServiceNow, Collibra, etc.

- Plan for specialized roles like Solution Architects, Data Engineers, Integration Engineers, and Platform Reliability Engineers, based on ongoing and upcoming epics.

- Align with Straives Technical Excellence Group to provision SMEs for architecture validation, PoC ownership, and strategic delivery initiatives.

Stakeholder Communication & Cross-Functional Coordination :

- Serve as a bridge between PGs Enterprise Architects, Platform Engineering leads, and Straive delivery teams, translating strategic tech priorities into executable backlogs.

- Coordinate with stakeholders across Security, Data Governance, and Infrastructure teams to ensure compliance and platform alignment.

- Guide staffing discussions with clarity on technical skill gaps, onboarding readiness, and role-to-architecture fitment.

Agile & Architecture-Driven Program Management :

- Champion Agile ceremonies with a technical lens ensuring epics are architecture reviewed, JIRA stories carry relevant design annotations, and definition-of-done includes technical completeness.

- Own and monitor tech KPIs including velocity, defect leakage, architecture debt, release frequency, and infra usage metrics.

- Drive adherence to PGs modular platform strategy, ensuring that all deliverables comply with standards for reusability, containerization, API versioning, and cloud-native deployments.

Preferred Technical Acumen :

- Strong grasp of enterprise architecture principles, system design, and integration patterns.

- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS preferred) and infrastructure as code (IaC).

- Familiarity with data engineering workflows (ETL/ELT, Snowflake, Python, SQL).

- Ability to interpret and drive decisions from solution architecture diagrams, API specs, and data models.

- Working knowledge of Agile tools (JIRA, Confluence), CI/CD pipelines, DevSecOps, and microservices monitoring (e.g., Datadog, ELK).
