Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced QA Architect with deep expertise in the Banking, Insurance, or FinTech domains to lead our quality assurance transformation. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker responsible for designing comprehensive testing strategies, establishing a Testing Centre of Excellence (TCOE), and ensuring the highest quality standards across web and mobile applications. This role combines hands-on technical expertise with architectural vision to drive quality engineering excellence.

Key Responsibilities :

Strategic Leadership :

- Design and implement enterprise-wide testing strategies aligned with business objectives

- Establish and lead a Testing Centre of Excellence (TCOE) with standardized processes, tools, and metrics

- Develop quality metrics and KPIs to measure testing effectiveness and ROI

- Advocate for quality engineering principles across development and business teams

- Stay current with industry trends, regulatory requirements, and emerging technologies in financial services

Architectural Design :

- Create and maintain test automation frameworks for web and mobile applications

- Design integration testing strategies for complex financial systems and APIs

- Develop performance, security, and compliance testing approaches specific to financial regulations

- Architect continuous testing pipelines within CI/CD environments

- Define testing environments strategy including data management and provisioning

Hands-On Technical Leadership :

- Lead by example with hands-on testing of complex financial applications

- Develop and execute test plans for web and mobile applications (iOS/Android)

- Implement automation frameworks using industry-standard tools (Selenium, Appium, Cypress, etc.)

- Conduct integration testing across banking systems, payment gateways, and third-party services

- Perform manual testing for exploratory, usability, and compliance validation

Domain-Specific Expertise :

- Apply knowledge of banking/insurance/fintech regulations (PCI-DSS, GDPR, SOX, etc.)

- Understand financial domain complexities: transactions, reporting, compliance, data privacy

- Design testing approaches for financial calculations, interest accruals, and risk models

- Ensure testing coverage for financial data integrity and audit trails

Qualifications & Experience :

Required :

- 8+ years in Quality Assurance with 3+ years as QA Architect or similar leadership role

- Mandatory experience in Banking, Insurance, or FinTech domains

- Proven experience establishing and running a Testing Centre of Excellence (TCOE)

Extensive hands-on experience with :

- Test automation frameworks and tools

- Manual testing methodologies

- Integration and API testing

- Web and mobile application testing (iOS & Android)

- Strong knowledge of financial systems architecture and integration patterns

- Experience with regulatory compliance testing in financial services
