We are seeking a highly experienced Staff Software Engineer - AI to lead AI-driven initiatives and integrate cutting-edge machine learning and LLM capabilities into our products. This role combines technical leadership with hands-on engineering, driving architecture, scalability, and innovation across our AI-powered systems. You will collaborate closely with product, research, and engineering teams to deliver impactful, intelligent solutions at scale.

Key Responsibilities :

- Lead the design and development of AI/ML and LLM-powered product features

- Architect and scale production-grade backend systems supporting AI workloads

- Own complex technical initiatives from concept to deployment

- Integrate ML/LLM models, APIs, and experimentation frameworks into applications

- Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Research, and Data teams to translate ideas into production solutions

- Drive engineering best practices, code quality, and system reliability

- Mentor engineers and provide technical leadership across teams

- Evaluate and adopt emerging AI technologies and tools

Required Skills & Qualifications :

- 5+ years of hands-on software engineering experience with ownership of complex production systems

- Strong fundamentals in data structures, algorithms, and distributed systems

- Experience integrating machine learning or LLM-based features into real-world products

- Proficiency in at least one backend language (Python, Go, or Java)

- Familiarity with ML APIs, model serving, and experimentation workflows

- Experience designing scalable, reliable, and high-performance systems

- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional stakeholders

- Strong problem-solving and architectural decision-making skills

Nice to Have :

- Experience with LLM frameworks (OpenAI, Hugging Face, LangChain, etc.)

- Knowledge of MLOps practices and tools

- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure)

- Background in data pipelines or real-time processing systems

- Previous technical leadership or mentorship experience
