Staff/Lead Workday Engineer- HCM Modules

Job Title : Lead Workday HR Technology Engineer

About the Role :

We are seeking a seniorlevel professional to own and continuously improve our Workday ecosystem. You will be responsible for configuration, integrations, security, automation, and AI enablement across all People Systems. The role partners closely with HR and IT leadership to deliver scalable, compliant HR technology solutions that drive business value.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design, configure, and maintain Workday HCM modules to meet evolving business needs.

- Build, test, and support integrations using Workday Integration, EIB, Orchestration, and Extend frameworks.

- Implement and manage AI capabilities such as Workday Assistant, Illuminate, AI Gateway APIs, and Orchestrate to enhance user experience and process efficiency.

- Define and enforce security standards, access controls, and SOX ITGC compliance across the Workday platform.

- Lead endtoend Workday implementation projects and enterprise HR system transformation initiatives.

- Collaborate with HR, IT, and business stakeholders to gather requirements, translate them into technical solutions, and ensure successful delivery.

- Develop automation scripts and workflows to streamline repetitive HR processes.

- Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior team members and serve as a subjectmatter expert for Workday best practices.

- Monitor system performance, conduct rootcause analysis of issues, and drive continuous improvement.

Required Skills :

- Deep handson experience with Workday AI capabilities: Workday Assistant, Illuminate, Extend, Orchestrate, and AI Gateway APIs.

- Proven track record leading Workday implementations, integrations, or largescale HR system transformations.

- Strong expertise in Workday HCM, Workday Integration, EIB, Illuminate, and Orchestration.

- Indepth knowledge of SOX ITGC controls and security governance within Workday.

- Ability to translate business requirements into technical designs and configuration.

- Excellent communication and stakeholdermanagement skills.
