Role Overview :

We are looking for a highly skilled SSCC Architect (Backend-Focused) to design and build scalable, secure, and high-performance backend architectures.

The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in SSCC (Secure Scalable Cloud Computing / Service-Centric Cloud Components) frameworks, backend systems, and cloud-native application design.

This role requires deep technical expertise in distributed systems, API design, and cloud infrastructure, along with the ability to architect enterprise-grade solutions.

Key Responsibilities (KRAs) :

- Design and implement scalable backend architectures aligned with SSCC principles and enterprise standards.

- Define system architecture, microservices strategy, and backend frameworks for cloud-native applications.

- Develop and optimize high-performance APIs and backend services for large-scale applications.

- Lead end-to-end system design including data architecture, service communication, and deployment strategies.

- Ensure system scalability, reliability, security, and performance across distributed environments.

- Collaborate with frontend teams, DevOps, and product stakeholders to deliver cohesive solutions.

- Establish and enforce best practices for backend development, code quality, and system design.

- Drive cloud adoption strategies and optimize infrastructure for cost, performance, and scalability.

- Conduct architecture reviews, code reviews, and technical evaluations.

- Troubleshoot complex production issues and implement long-term solutions.

- Mentor engineering teams and provide technical leadership across projects.

- Evaluate and integrate new technologies to enhance system capabilities and efficiency.

Required Skillsets :

- Strong backend development expertise in Java, Node.js, or Python.

- Extensive experience in designing microservices architecture and distributed systems.

- Proficiency in RESTful APIs, GraphQL, and service-oriented architecture (SOA).

- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.

- Strong knowledge of containerization and orchestration using Docker and Kubernetes.

- Experience with event-driven architectures using Kafka, RabbitMQ, or similar messaging systems.

- Deep understanding of database systems including SQL (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB, DynamoDB).

- Expertise in security best practices including authentication, authorization (OAuth2, JWT), and data protection.

- Experience with CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and infrastructure automation.

- Strong knowledge of system design principles, design patterns, and performance optimization.

- Familiarity with observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack, or similar.

- Experience with version control systems like Git and collaborative development workflows.

Preferred Skills :

- Experience with serverless architectures and cloud-native services.

- Exposure to multi-tenant SaaS platforms and large-scale enterprise applications.

- Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation).

- Experience working in remote/distributed teams across geographies.

Education :

- Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
