Job Description :

We are seeking an experienced SQL Server DBA Microsoft Dynamics GP with strong expertise in SQL Server administration and Dynamics GP General Ledger (GL) processes.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing, optimizing, and supporting SQL Server environments, ensuring database performance and availability, and serving as the subject matter expert for Dynamics GP financial operations.

This role requires a blend of database administration, financial systems knowledge, and stakeholder collaboration to support critical business and accounting processes.

Key Responsibilities :

- Administer, monitor, and optimize Microsoft SQL Server environments supporting Microsoft Dynamics GP applications.

- Serve as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Dynamics GP General Ledger (GL), including account structures, posting processes, reconciliations, and year-end close activities.

- Develop, optimize, and maintain T-SQL queries, stored procedures, views, functions, and database objects.

- Perform database performance tuning, query optimization, indexing, and capacity planning activities.

- Ensure database availability, reliability, security, backup, recovery, and disaster recovery readiness.

- Troubleshoot and resolve SQL Server, database performance, and Dynamics GP application issues.

- Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end financial close processes while ensuring data accuracy and integrity.

- Manage and support Dynamics GP integrations with internal and external business systems.

- Develop and maintain financial reports, dashboards, and analytics using SSRS and Power BI.

- Implement database security controls, user access management, and compliance requirements.

- Collaborate with Finance, Accounting, and IT teams to support business operations and system enhancements.

- Perform database health checks, monitoring, patching, upgrades, and maintenance activities.

- Maintain technical documentation, support procedures, and operational runbooks.

- Participate in incident management, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Required Skills & Experience :

- 7-12 years of experience as a SQL Server DBA or Database Administrator.

- Minimum 5 years of experience administering Microsoft Dynamics GP environments.

- Strong expertise in Dynamics GP General Ledger (GL) processes and financial operations.

- Advanced proficiency in T-SQL development, query optimization, and performance tuning.

- Strong experience with SQL Server administration, maintenance, monitoring, and troubleshooting.

- Expertise in database security, backup and recovery, disaster recovery, and high-availability solutions.

- Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial workflows, and financial reporting processes.

- Experience supporting financial close, reconciliation, and audit-related activities.

- Hands-on experience with SSRS reporting and financial data analysis.

- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.

- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.

- Experience working closely with Finance, Accounting, and business teams.
