Job Overview :

We're looking for a highly skilled SQL Developer with 4-8 years of hands-on experience in Hive, Big Data ecosystems, and various RDBMS platforms like Oracle or PostgreSQL. You'll be instrumental in developing complex, optimized SQL queries, ensuring high performance, and building reliable data pipelines for performance-critical systems. This role demands a deep understanding of data modeling, query optimization techniques, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to deliver robust, data-driven solutions while maintaining data integrity and security.

Key Responsibilities :

- Develop, write, and maintain complex SQL queries and stored procedures across diverse data platforms, including relational databases (e.g., Oracle, PostgreSQL) and Hive tables within a Big Data ecosystem.

- Conduct advanced performance tuning and query optimization (e.g., indexing strategies, query plan analysis, partitioning) to ensure efficient data retrieval and processing for high-volume, performance-critical systems.

- Design, build, and optimize ETL/ELT processes for data ingestion, transformation, and loading from various source systems into target data warehouses or data lakes.

- Collaborate closely with data architects, data engineers, business intelligence analysts, and product managers to understand complex business requirements and translate them into robust, scalable data solutions.

- Develop and deliver useful reporting deliverables by extracting, transforming, and presenting data in formats suitable for business intelligence tools and dashboards.

- Ensure stringent data integrity, consistency, and security across all database systems and data pipelines, adhering to best practices and compliance requirements.

- Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation for database schemas, data dictionaries, ETL processes, and complex SQL logic.

- Participate in database design discussions, contributing insights on normalization, denormalization, and data modeling best practices.

- Troubleshoot and resolve data-related issues, performing root cause analysis to prevent recurrence.

Required Skills :

- 4-8 years of dedicated experience as a SQL Developer.

- Expert-level proficiency in Advanced SQL, including complex joins, subqueries, window functions, CTEs, and procedural SQL.

- Strong hands-on experience with Hive QL and understanding of its architecture within a Hadoop/Big Data ecosystem.

- Proven experience with performance tuning, query optimization, and data modeling (dimensional and relational).

- Hands-on experience working with at least two different RDBMS platforms (e.g., Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQL Server).

- Familiarity with ETL/ELT pipelines and data warehousing concepts.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail.

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to articulate technical concepts and collaborate effectively with diverse teams.

Preferred Qualifications :

- Experience with cloud-based data warehouses like Snowflake or AWS Redshift.

- Knowledge of scripting languages such as Python for data manipulation or automation tasks.

- Familiarity with data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI).

- Experience with version control systems (Git) for SQL scripts and database objects
