Summary:
We are looking for a skilled Senior Data Engineer / SQL Database Administrator with strong experience in MS SQL, HA (High Availability) setups, and cloud-based data engineering workflows (e.g., AWS + DBT + Snowflake). The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in database clustering, orchestration, and automation, with a strong understanding of real-time and batch processing of large-scale data systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and maintain HA (High Availability) setups using WSFC, quorum disks, and listener configurations.
- Perform SQL Server clustering, backups, log shipping, and restoration with minimal downtime.
- Work closely with system admins to coordinate failover strategies and network troubleshooting.
- Develop and manage ETL/ELT pipelines using DBT, AWS S3, Snowflake, and Lambda Step Functions.
- Handle real-time data ingestion and file processing logic from unstructured sources like JSON.
- Implement business rules for customer identity logic and loyalty programs using SQL and DBT models.
- Create feedback analysis workflows for predictive customer behavior analytics.
- Support and enhance time-series databases and integrations with tools like Murex and Matsuri via SSIS.
- Collaborate with L1/L2 support teams and own L3 issue resolution including logic-level debugging and business team coordination.

- Databases: MS SQL Server (strong), PostgreSQL (basic), Snowflake
- Data Engineering Tools: DBT, AWS S3, AWS Lambda, Step Functions
- ETL Tools: SSIS, SQL scripting
- Orchestration & HA: WSFC (Windows Server Failover Cluster), quorum disk setup, log shipping, failover clustering
- Scripting & Workflow: JSON parsing, file-based workflows, Lambda functions
- Cloud: Basic knowledge of AWS (S3, Lambda)
- Monitoring Tools: Experience working with incident systems like ServiceNow
