Role Overview :

As a Senior SQL Developer at Speridian Technologies, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing robust and efficient database solutions to support our clients' critical business applications. You will collaborate closely with business analysts, project managers, and other developers to understand requirements, translate them into technical specifications, and deliver high-quality database code. Your expertise in SQL, performance tuning, and data integration will be crucial in ensuring the reliability, scalability, and performance of our database systems. This is a remote position, offering the flexibility to work from anywhere.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design and develop complex database solutions, including tables, stored procedures, views, and functions, to meet business requirements.

- Optimize SQL queries and database performance through indexing, query tuning, and other performance enhancement techniques to ensure efficient data retrieval and processing.

- Develop and maintain ETL processes using SSIS to integrate data from various sources into the data warehouse.

- Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for database designs, code, and processes to ensure knowledge sharing and maintainability.

- Troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues in a timely manner to minimize downtime and ensure business continuity.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business needs and translate them into technical specifications for database development.

- Develop and deploy reports and dashboards using SSRS to provide insights into business performance.

- Enforce database security policies and procedures to protect sensitive data and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

Required Skillset :

- Demonstrated ability to design, develop, and implement complex database solutions using SQL Server.

- Proven expertise in performance tuning and optimization of SQL queries and database systems.

- Extensive experience in developing and maintaining stored procedures, functions, and triggers using T-SQL.

- Hands-on experience with SSIS for data integration and ETL processes.

- Proficient in developing and deploying reports and dashboards using SSRS.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues.

- Excellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.

- 10-14 years of relevant experience in SQL development and database administration.
